Are fricking soft as baby shite. We fielded a team that consisted of probably 75% backups and a backup WR starting at QB.

We got our asses kicked and you know what that backup WR that started at QB said post game? He said he’d line that shite up again tomorrow and do it again if he had to.

Give me 22 Jontre Kirklin’s all day every day!

Pretty sure we did in 2020 lol. But I agree, you should always want to compete. It’s soft shite

As Winston Churchill famously said, nations that fight make a comeback. Same is true for football teams. That loss to K-State sucked but the following year we won the SEC West and won 10 games.

The main reason for teams playing ball games that don’t matter is for the upcoming players for next year. Most of the guys that are going into the draft will opt out so it’s an opportunity for the younger players that didn’t get much playing time during regular season to play in a game.

As I remember, the year LSU passed on a bowl was the COVID year. That is NOT the same as having a depleted roster.

I may be wrong, but, I think he meant "22 Jontres playing", not 2022.

"If we got eleven, we gonna play" is an underrated moment in LSU football history.

I don’t understand why you’d turn down the practices

Who’s declining bowl invitations besides Notre Dame?

LSU was 3-5 when it self-imposed a bowl ban as part of the ongoing NCAA investigation into improper booster payments and other violations, including cash given by Odell Beckham Jr. to players after the 2019 national championship game. And then LSU won its last 2 games to finish 5-5 and would’ve been eligible to go to a bowl.

Gotta be honest…I have no interest in watching this offense in the Texas Bowl against Houston. Nothing about that is appealing.

I understand why ND is opting out. They don't want to lose the bowl game and confirm they didn't belong in the playoffs.

We did that as a punishment to ourselves (self-imposed sanctions) due to NCAA violations so they wouldn't come down harder on us. Not even close to the same thing ND and some of these other puss teams are doing.

I agree. I’ll watch because it is LSU but I would be much more interested if we had a WR playing QB that night

I think they should take it as a sign that bowls are dumb. They used to be cool but now that we have a playoff, they are a worthless waste of time.

Playing in a bowl means that you get an extra 3 weeks of practice that you would not get otherwise. Huge for player development. Turning down a bowl game is just stupid.

Then watch the other side of the ball.

(Totally agreed on the offense though )
