Another thing we voted for.

Evidence indicates that the 8(a) Program, initially designed for ‘socially and economically disadvantaged’ businesses, has become a pass-through vehicle for rampant abuse – especially during the Biden Administration, which aggressively prioritized DEI over merit in federal contracting.

Shouldn’t be an issue for anyone not engaged in fraud.

I predict 15% or less come out unscathed. Almost half will be considered major infractions. 10-20% won’t even respond.

In future news, 4299 audited DEI entities found to be committing fraud.

1 found to be retired. On an island. In Fiji. Paid for with fraud.

“8(a)”

For anyone that isn’t privy on it.

We are talking the highest level of “PRIVILEGE” in this country.

NO BID CONTRACTS in many instances. They send the 8(a) contractor the project, SOW’s etc… and it’s basically like, “can you do it for this amount”

And the 8a does his numbers and realizes there is a 50+% NET NET PROFIT, and is like, “sure we can”

Every 8A I’ve ever known and known of are multi-multi-millionaires getting Gov’t thrown at them.

Whereas, I’ve lost contracts for my companies over time to minority owned companies that may just be DBE Etc… and they can get discounts for their “boxes they check”

Company with a

Black guy
Black female
Native American
Disabled Vet (which is the only category I think that should get some help), the rest kick sand.

But for each box you check, you get a % discount.

So if I come in at $1,000,000 bid

The minority company comes in at

$1,150,000

But has a 15% discount (I’m calling it the wrong name) but that’s a way to look at it

Then we are tied at $1M and they get it because they are the minority and $150,000 above my quote.

shite happens all the time.

I lost an MSA with BP after the oil spill because I wasn’t minority owned.

I did a MAJOR PROJECT for BP & Fedgov for oil spill & BP said, come on over to Houston, give you an MSA

(Which is worth $100M over time) for people that are familiar with this side of biz.

And got to the signing & an executive says, “where’s your minority participation”

And in hindsight, had a I know what I know now, I should have picked up a token brother to get that MSA, I’d be retired on the beach by now

So, those weasels took our tax dollars, gave it to other weasels and it was siphoned off, in classic NGO style, mostly disappearing in kickbacks.

The paper trail will be discovered, established, and published. Then, nobody will be charged, nobody arrested, and nobody will have to pay it back.

At this point, it's tradition.

I've partaken in the bidding and performance of millions of dollars of federal contracts.

There are entire segments of the economy who specialize in federal contracting, and more importantly, defrauding the federal government of taxpayer dollars. It's sickening when you know how it works. Huge conglomerates that do nothing but chase down federal RFPs.

DEI programs are a deal with the devil. Even those who qualify should avoid them.

My Father in Law had a small construction business. Back in the 90's, one of his guys was going to pick it up, he put the business in his wife's name so it would be "female owned". It was in name only. But will this sort of thing get caught as 'fraud'? Might be kind of hard to prove one way or the other?
