How much do you tip your mail carrier for Xmas?

Do your mail carriers also leave an Xmas card in a blanck envelop expecting you to put cash in it for them to pick up on the next day? Ours does every year.

No one tips me for doing my job.

This probably belongs in the micro-penis thread.

Is this one of those "tipping culture is out of control" things? I'm not leaving the postman a dime.

Haven’t gotten any legit mail that wasn’t spam in 17 years, so $0

We seem to have a different carrier every week.

Tipping your mail carrier may be one of the dumbest things I’ve heard of.

Depends on how hot she is and if she delivers more than the mail

Just enough to piss off OT posters who hate tipping.

Are you serious?

The same amount I tip at resterants, $0! Why should I pay extra just for someone doing there job?

We tip ours. There are several times a year that our carrier will come down the long driveway back to the house and leave our mail by the door.

When I was a kid, we gave our mailman and his wife a gift each year, they were family friends.
I remember 1 time I was impatiently waiting for something in the mail, so I rode my bicycle over to the gin, because I knew he was there pitching horse shoes at the office.

It never even occurred to me to tip my mail carrier. In fact, I think their job should not even exist.
I couldn't pick them out of a lineup

When I was in my first house we had the same post man every day. I tipped him bc he’d provide personalized service to his route. Now.. I’ve got a rotation of generally nice people but at least 5 different people this year. So no tip
