At some point soon, the media will have to recognize and acknowledge

We are about to be really hated by everyone, Enjoy!

My favorite line from all the media this week is “Don’t get comfortable LSU fans, he’s bolting for Tuscaloosa as soon as Deboar gets fired”

They won't. They'll bitch and moan like always. Pretty sure Paul will do that tomorrow morning on SEC Nation.

SEC worst fear, OM was never relevant if not for association with Kiffin.

Ole Miss does not have the war chest that LSU has. Only the most deluded fans and pundits believe they could have "matched" LSU in any way.
Coaches in football are and will always be the most equalizing or polarizing force in the sport. Great coaches can flip a below average program into a winner; sustained success, if they stay, can build a franchise and a winning program. That's what Nick Saban started to rebuild here. Great coaches at great programs can galvanize them into much more; that's exactly why Saban did and continued to do for so long at Bama.
Most of the conversations I had in the booster community this year was about watching this football school fall further into irrelevance. Going to be an interesting few years to see what the fruits of the investment will be, but I'm optimistic so far.

I woke up this morning to see more Ole Miss posts on TD than LSU posts.

and honestly, if he decides to do this, good for him. He's coaching at least one, if not two seasons at LSU... and it will be up to those who can to keep him here.

You’re correct but I couldn’t care less if they do.

Yeah that's funny one too, bama's not going to fire him after making the SEC championship. For them to expect him to keep on winning like Saban did and that being the standard is not reality. Saban dominated in a different era we will probably never see that level of domination again they are delusional if they think that's possible in this new climate of college football.

Yeah they hired a slob to be their head coach. Just go to their board and read about how golding held the team together this year while lane was checked out….and apparently goldong has been in charge of the portal and organization over the last year. Truly funny stuff

Good. Back to the 03-12ish years. Hated and feared.

Man gotta say it would be nice to have kiffin, wade, johnson and mulkey. Literally the most hated and feared college around lmfao.

Yet somehow during the height of Alabama's success they were still media darlings. I wonder how many mulligans we get over the next 15 years. Probably none.
I won't be surprised that within 5 years, we see rule changes as a direct result of LSU. I'm not sure what that will look like yet. NIL changes probably.
LSU is going to operate with full villain status. All of CFB will rejoice with every LSU loss, for which I hope there are few!
