It's okay if you use the kids or grandkids as an excuse.
8:00 EST - 7:00 CST tonight on NBC.

Never too old for childhood Christmas specials

Yep. It comes on streaming now too, but a few years ago I bought it just so I could stream it whenever I wanted.

No shame here. I'll still watch all the Christmas classics like Rudolph. Better than the crap on TV now

When my daughters were teens, 20 or years ago, we were watching one night, and my wife and I began pointing out how politically incorrect and outside of societal norms Rudolph had become.
For example, when Santa first met Rudolph, he was thought to be handicapped, and Donner was ashamed of him.
When Rudolph went out to play reindeer games, he was bullied and shamed by the other young bucks.
Hermie the elf was probably gay, and his boss did not embrace Hermie's diversity and desire for change by giving the dolls teeth.
When Rudolph left Christmas Town, the female deer were told that looking for a missing buck was "man's work."
Yukon Cornelius was guilty of animal cruelty by using a whip on his sled dogs, and by pulling the Bumble's teeth without any anesthesia.
In addition, Yukon failed to file an environmental impact statement on what his gold mining would do the area's precious ecological system.
There's lots more, but this is more than enough to get you started if you'd like to make your own list.
Rudolph, in this depiction, would NEVER be aired if it were a new show trying to debut in 2025.

With little kids Christmas movies, shows and specials are GOATED content from after Halloween to Christmas morning. We watch them all. Daily.
I've got "A Charlie Brown Christmas" that I pirated off of internet archives, uploaded to YouTube, and cast to the TV. It's the new hit this year for my oldest and me too: it's been years since I watched it, ever since Apple commandeered it from all other streaming platforms.

He’ll, I’m 57 and still get goosebumps at first sign of the abominable snowman.

Elf and Christmas Vacation pretty much stays on loop in our home

It’s a great one. A must watch in our house every year.
We do themes every year. Usually tshirts or sweatshirts. This Rudolph movie is the theme this year. Last year was Nightmare Before Christmas.
Good times.

Watching that is not nearly as embarrassing as using this phrase...
Such a trashy phrase.
