That's actually a great hire. His name has been in the carousel the last few years, but he always stayed. I thought for sure he was an Iowa State lifer.

Exactly. I don’t see why everyone thinks this is some home run hire. Dude has interview for every big coaching job the last 6 years and has never gotten any of them
This was desperation by Penn State and he was probably their 20th choice
