Because Kelly risked Nussmeier’s health for a better chance to win. I bet a lot of those folks surrounding Kelly were infuriated by Kelly’s lack of concern for the wellbeing of Nussmeier’s health and future NFL career.

Ehh seems like Kelly and Nuss had a deal in place similar to Jefferson and Les. Nuss was playing no matter what. But like someone else said, onto better things it’s Lane time!

Kelly should have been fired for cause before his first game. The Danny Lewis Jr. dance incident damaged the reputation of the program and the entire university. It probably cost them at least one or two recruits and some donation $$
