I will not be surprised if all of sudden a few of these guys that looked so terrible in 2025 look like pro prospects in 2026. On the eye test alone, you can't tell me that our players were that much worse that the OL at most of the other schools we played.

Agree, i don't think it's been a lack of talent. I think it's been poor coaching and poor offensive scheme.

Idk man i don’t care how bad the coaching is

Talent should be able to take over sometimes

Both are true in my book . Like i don’t see the regular teams with 3 stars making those mistakes . We have 4 4-5 stars on our line

True, but listening to Rich Dickson talk on Tuesday with Hanny they clearly were being taught awful technique. That is going to cause problems.

I really thought Brad Davis was going to be fired when Joe Sloan was and Alex Atkins was going to be the OL Coach. He has had a good track record coaching Offensive Line.

Not sure who they go after either but I am looking forward to it.

DJ Chester won't look good, he had his chance, and has proven he is not SEC material.

I do agree on the rest and bad technique, funny how they all looked bad for the most part.

I just refuse to believe it was/is a talent issue. I think it was a perfect storm of bad offensive scheme and poor position coach.

I buddy of mine who played OL under Dinardo/Saban has said this exact same thing. They play with poor technique and no leverage. Not low enough and get blown up as soon as the ball is snapped. Said it’s something that can be fixed but not during the season, it’s a camp thing.

Will Campbell and Emory jones couldn’t run block worth a damn because of scheme.

I think there are better foundational pieces on the roster than we realize.

Let’s assume Moore comes back as the starting C. Feel good there.

3 guards of Echols, Curne, and Solomon Thomas. Curne and Thomas need to be developed but naturally strong guys who could project well in a Kiffin run heavy offense. Big thing for those guys will be conditioning, especially with the tempo.

Ory I think showed with his opportunity that he’s worth continuing to develop. I think between he and Adams let’s say competing at RT you feel good there. Better than what you saw this year at RT.

Would be great to get a legit NFL prospect at LT in the portal.

I feel the same way.

Look at the last couple years. Campbell was very talented, but his run blocking was mediocre.

The line has been SOFT for years.

We’ve got some big bodies out there, I don’t believe they are so talentless that they can’t compete. They are soft as charmin. The right coach can correct that.

Stop listening to the rant and watch film. Both guys run blocked fine. Our RBs lacked vision and missed holes all the time.

Yeah talent is tough to hide. Even bad coaching can’t kill instinct and ability. Smart fans knew it would be a weakness with what we lost but we needed to get more transfers there and didn’t.

I can’t remember where I heard it from but I hope it isn't true. James Cregg is the assistant OL coach at Ole Miss but after the messy parting between LSU and Cregg the first tine I doubt he would cone back or be welcome md back. I say since you’re pushing your chips to the center of the table why nit at least check in on Sam Pittman.

in some positions i'd agree wholeheartedly. but with lineman, who are generally not the most freakish athletes out there, confusion, hesitation, thinking instead of reacting etc, just by 1 of the 5, can cause damage. i feel like most of our guys just didn't know where to go or what to do because of scheme and coaching. once we decided to go hands in the ground and force the run, we ran better. less thinking.

LSU has an entirely new administration since the lawsuit. Cregg would be welcomed back if that’s who Lane wants.
