LSU Transfer Portal Tracking Thread...UPDATED

Transfer Portal Rules:
Players will be able to officially enter the transfer portal from January 2 through January 16, 2026. This moves all portal activity out of December and removes the old spring window. This main portal window opens right after the CFP quarterfinals. Players who are still competing in later playoff rounds will get a separate five day window after their final game to enter.

Coaching Change Exception:
Players now have a 15 day window to enter the portal immediately after their head coach leaves. They also get another window that begins five days after the new coach is hired or publicly introduced.

Note: the portal window is the time frame for players to enter the portal. They don't have to sign with a new school before the window ends. However, if they want to enroll at their new school for the spring, they will have to do so in accordance with the new school's academic calendar.
