Yet, they'll be the first people laughing when there are storms in the South that cause massive pileups.

Definitely, wet and heavy snow will make me slow down considerably to avoid those situations.

Maybe if the road is iced over and you can only see 20 yards "SLOW DOWN".

these vids are terrifying.

The question is what move do you make if you are in that situation? Staying in the car is probably the safest thing. But if you have a chance to make a run for the woods that would keep you from getting rear-ended by an 18whler going 50mph.

For whatever reason that truck sliding in the last clip does not like it was in America. It looks like it was in Russia or Europe.

What's really strange is that there was major pile-ups in Indiana, Missouri, and Colorado for this storm, and they were all on I-70

Any smart driver would, yet they're at the mercy of the dumbass driving a semi behind them like a bat out of hades.

I was on the roads 11/30 in the upper Midwest 800 or so miles from NE Nebraska to Ohio and there were times pile ups like that could have happened.

Thankfully, the roads weren’t super crowded and people drove reasonably. I was sideways on the road a few times but never completely lost it.

Winter driving sucks arse.

Not surprised. I woke up to a bunch of alerts here in Louisville from the same storm where multiple exits were shut down on 265 and 65. It was a heavy band of wet snow that dumped close to 5 inches here in a really short period of time.

ETA: Just saw it was not this morning.

I would give that driver props for avoiding everything.

Also it seemed like there was a random/ unrelated clip of a truck falling off a mountain in China there at the end.

When something like that starts happening, the ditch is your friend. Intentionally drive into it and get as far away from the road as possible.

Do NOT get out of your vehicle. That's a good way to catch the Dead.

Gotta give the Gold Medal of Avoidance to two Trailer Trucks near the end of the video. One after the other both finessed a narrow lane in between the mess, winding up out of harm's way.

Baws in 4x4 trucks and SUVs think the laws of physics don't apply to them.

Yep, first snows of the year is always the bigass trucks in the ditch. That light rear end bites them on the arse.

The subarus are blowing right by them...
