Silver field is an excellent hire. Are you just mad you didn’t get Golesh?
Posted on 11/30/25 at 10:29 am to T1gerNate
Because Solverfield is not an excellent hire. Memphis fans wanted him gone.

Memphis completely collapsed down the stretch. Its a far cry from having Golesh locked up last week.

They lost Golesh and settled for Silverfield, reasonable melt

Arkansas did Memphis a solid.

Memphis fans dont like him because he continually shite the bed with lots of resources.

If Ark was going head to head with Auburn for a coach they have to know they will lose. The pecking order is pretty set in the SEC. There are coin flips and obvious losses that we all see.

After Fuente and Norvell failing in the ACC I'm not convinced Memphis is a good farm school for coaches. I know each coach is different but sometimes the program makes coaches more than the other way around and if a lower school is having success (as much as a G5 school can consistently have) from coach to coach and those coaches keep failing when they get elevated, just a pattern I notice.
Not to mention Arkansas has a tougher hill to climb in the SEC than VT or FSU had in the ACC

Arkansas has been in a perpetual state of melt for years now, and honestly, it’s justified

Memphis fans are dumbasses

They are Rkansas. What did they expect?

Memphis has a huge advantage over most G5 schools
They have an unreal fertile recruiting ground and demographics and also a shite ton of money from a booster that cares in FedEx
Pretty much every coach is going to succeed there going forward

I'm not sure. Silverfield beat Golesh's USF teams three years in a row and he has some decent wins. He had a couple of bad losses this season (UAB for one) but he's had solid years at Memphis.

I don't even know who Silverfield is
Posted on 11/30/25 at 10:45 am to T1gerNate
It's a shite hire and we've had weeks and this is what we come up with

Yall act like Arkansas is poor and never heard of the retail, trucking and chicken families that support the Razorbacks.

Only the chicken man is actually giving money, and that’s to basketball.
