So there is basically 1 at large a spot left correct? And it’s between Miami/ND/Tx Tech?

I include tech because if they lose BYU gets and auto and tech gets th last at large. I would assume they wouldn’t drop them all the way out.

If tech wins then it’s between Miami/ND

The autos are:
OSU- Indiana winner
UGA-Bama winner
Texas tech-BYU winner
Tulane-UNT winner
UVA if they win/JMU if Duke wins

At large
OSU-Indiana loser
UGA-Bama loser
Oregon
OU
Ole Miss
Texas A&M

BYU wins Tech gets the last spot. Tech wins then Miami/ND debate.

Bama is not guaranteed. 3 losses including a two TD loss to a 5-7 team is not playoff worthy.

They likely make it anyhow, but should not be guaranteed a spot with their resume.

They have wins va UGA and Vandy that will end the season ranked. Tennessee may end season unranked. Mizzou may end season unranked.

3 ranked wins should not equal playoffs to counter a two TD loss to a 5-7 team.

I think Tech is safely in. Even Gameday said this morning that if BYU wins, the Big XII will get two teams.

Bama isn't going to get knocked for a loss to UGA because they have a win over UGA.

They'll probably stay ranked just to prop up the rankings of teams that beat them.

Carryover post:

Bama just looked like arse against an Auburn team with 1 win in the SEC against Arkansas.

Oh and Bama got blown out by FSU who just got blown out by awful 2 win (SEC) Florida.

Bama isn't jumping ND after this week, and ND might well jump - should jump - that shitass Oklahoma team with no offense.

Vandy has better losses than both Miami and ND, since that seems to be the argument for ND...also they have better wins than ND

Sorry, dawg. They won't have a single win against a top 25 team come next week whereas ND is likely to have 2.

Try again, I guess?

our offense is worse than shite, but Vandy may not have a ranked win when rankings come out on Tuesday. Their best wins, @Tennessee and Missouri, OU beat both as well. And OU also beat Bama, which they lost to.

They were the last team in according to the committee this week. So since they’d have added a win against a bad team and an additional loss. Idk feels like they’re closer than what’s being said here.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Notre Dame and Oklahoma switch places this week with ND ranked #8 and OU ranked #9. OU have not looked good the past 2 weeks against Missouri and LSU…….

JMU would be 30 point dogs to some teams

Is that why they're attempting to run it up on 4-7 (soon to be 4-8) Stanford?

I mean yeah which is why it’s dumb as shite to have 5 teams guaranteed spots.

If this was last year a school like Tulane or UNT would be looking at a first round bye

Once again in today’s world of two good conferences and the rest basically mediocre they need to fix it.

The five autos would have been a good set up 10 years ago when the big 12 has the likes of UT/OU/A&M and the pac 10 was around. It shouldn’t apply in the current landscape.

Only way Bama gets knocked out is if BYU wins.

An at-large team will not pass Bama. It would have to be an auto-bid team.

ETA: If BYU and Bama both win their conference, then the sweet irony would be that it knocks Notre Dame out of the playoff.
