In high school I worked in a garage and my state had vehicle inspection stickers on windshields, It was one of my jobs to complete the inspections and replace the stickers.

The old stickers had to be scraped off with a special razor tool and you had to use the right angle and pressure combo to get it off in large pieces to make cleanup easier. I had that knowledge. Sometimes they wouldn’t cooperate and I had to clean the small pieces out between the corner of dash and windshield.

The inspections program is long gone. I will never be 17 again and likely won’t work in a garage in the future. And yet I realized today that I would enjoy doing that task one more time.

You?

Getting high, watching porn, and playing video games all day.

Fun but an empty way to live

Being an intern type or junior level employee and being good friends and close with co-workers. Going to lunch, happy hours, work trips, ranking the chicks in the office, dating one or two of them, etc. Overall pretty carefree with limited responsibility or stake in the company.

Not sure if I just got lucky with a couple gigs when younger, but I don’t see this going on anymore with the younger people at my company.

I worked the pool bar at MCC the summer between graduation and starting my first job. Got hammered every shift and made like $20/hour to sling booze to Milfs.

I really miss my old farm job. A full day of hot and hard work all alone. It was nice. If I could have made the living I make now doing that id be a happier man.

Hanging out with friends/family pre internet, or at least pre cell phones. You got to get out of town around a campfire, and even then cell service is still available.

Yep, making porn is much more fulfilling.

My kids are all in high school this year. No longer are the days we go somewhere and one of them instinctively reaches to hold my hand for security.

Move to Texas and you'll have to scrape your own registration sticker off every year.

Farm/ranch work with my Uncle, his palomino Trigger and German Shepherd Thunder. He drowned at age 15, when I was 5.

There were three ponds on the property, so fishing was involved too.
