Earlier this week I was on the fence but after today I’m convinced by reading into his answers and body language on the sidelines LK is ready for the move.

If it’s true he is speaking to Saban, need I remind everyone that Saban has mentioned multiple times regretting leaving LSU.

Kiffin has a chance to become legendary at a top 3 program in the country. And in my opinion will be his last job.

What he accomplished at Ole Miss this year is outstanding and great. He knows he can do this year in year out at a program at LSU.

His emotions right after the game and the way he answered tells me he is ready for his next chapter.

As a 50 year plus Tiger Fan and my whole family from BR, welcome Lane and GEAUX GET IT!!!!!!

GEAUX Tigers.

After that press conference I know for certain he had made his decision. Either he is staying and doesn’t want to distract on his son’s championship day or he is leave and doesn’t want to distract. That man knows what he is doing and that leads me to believe
He is leaving.

I think is ready and obviously LSU peaks his interest.

But he will receive public backlash and that matters some

Hes leaving.

He knows he's leaving.

LSU knows he's leaving.

I think OM knows he is leaving.

This is the execution of an agreed upon exit.

I think he honestly wants a change of scenery. He looks and acts really depressed that he's about to let Ole Miss down. He knows the advantages that LSU holds and keeps hinting at those.

I was more worried about Florida, but with them out of the picture I think he just coached his last game for the Rebels.

It’s just so weird with an 11-1 historically significant Ole Miss team and not coach them in the playoffs. I think that is going to play into his decision.

Sort of right... he say's he regretted leaving LSU to coach the Dolphins, because he prefers coaching college. I'm fairly certain that he does, however, NOT regret how things ultimately turned out.. and, given that, I'm sure he doesn't regret leaving LSU all that much.

When and where did he say this? Only place I’ve read that is here. I think people over inflate the meaning of LSU to Saban.

I think you’re right. I hope you’re right.
I’m here for all of it.

Just for fun, devil’s advocate:
100% positive LSU/Dolphins will come up on that conversation. The question is whether LSU represents LSU in that scenario vs whether LSU potentially represents the dolphins in that scenario.

I think Saban meant what he said on gameday, so I’m gonna say he just thinks LSU is a great place to build a football program… but ya never know.

This nonsense occurred only after Saban had already won four NCs at Alabama, specifically after Miles was fired when we were no longer his biggest threat as UGA and Clemson were built up. At that point he felt he could be magnanimous about LSU.

Saban barely gives a second thought to LSU and only refers to “regret” about leaving CFB in general. Saban is more than ecstatic with his career path and neither he nor his family give a shite about Baton Rouge or LSU.

Anyone that thinks Saban wants to help a very talented coach build a potential dynasty at LSU so that our fans stop dreaming about him as the one that got away needs to have their fricking heads examined

The first time I saw it was when he was inducted into the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame, while he was still a coach at Alabama. He has repeated it several times since.

2019 Natty, I was in Champion's Square pregame. He was a guest host for the ESPN broadcast. Everyone was booing him whenever he spoke. During a break, he came to the fence and said "Guys, I'm rooting for you!"

Saban knows what this program is capable of. If he is a mentor to Lane, as I beleive he is, he will surely encourage him to come here.
