The bottom of one of my feet is a bit thick/rough, almost like leather to the touch. This is right below the ball of my feet all the way across the foot; additionally this leather like area is also on my heel. My other foot seems normal.

In these two leather like areas, there are several spots that almost look like blisters that somebody cut off with a knife or razor blade. My foot doesn’t cause me any pain or discomfort and I could run 10 miles tomorrow without issue.

What is the cause of this? How do I get it back to normal? Should I go to one or f those Asian massage parlors? Do you have any other useful advice?

Not sure a rub and tug will fix your foot, but it’s worth a shot

In Asia they have places with fish tanks you can stick your feet in and the fish eat the dead skin off your feet. I'm guessing they don't feed the fish and bunion scrapings are their only source of nourishment.

What you want is called a pumice stone. You can either buy one off Amazon and ask AI how to use it, or pay some Asian woman to do it for you.

Sounds like plantar warts. I got rid of one by covering it with duct tape for several weeks.

Are you asking for a foot doctor to give free advice?

Your thread title implies you are a foot doctor giving advice.

Just needs to go to a doctor. No podiatrist will give advice in a message board.

I like the spirit- instead of asking what could go wrong, I like to ask what could go right

Slice them off a little at a time with a paring knife.

Ah, yes. Podiatrists.

You'll never see the DPM part on their scrubs or coats, only the "Dr." part.

Had a convo with an Optometrist the other day. "Dr." this and "Dr." that.

Me: Ah, you're an ophthalmologist?

Him: I'm an optometric physician.

I’m sorry to disappoint you but I promised the OT that I wouldn’t try to help anyone anymore and to only post crude jokes.

My doc recommended urea cream. You can get it anywhere. I haven’t tried it yet because I have been busy so I can’t say that it worked for me. Good luck making your feet beautiful again.
