Who will take the MAGA baton?

Trump is not a young man and is term-limited. The baton is going to have to be passed to someone ready to carry on his movement.
He has an immovable base who will do, say, bite however he tells them to. For these people, Trump is kingmaker. These voters alone arent enough to win an election, but who gets them when Trump is done? One of his kids? JD?
You have the far, far right. The Fuentes/Carlson wing of the GOP. They don’t especially like Trump, nor do they believe he’s still America First. They won’t care who Trump says is his chosen successor, they’re going to go their own way. This would be the Massie/MTG part of the party. I fully believe there are multiple people in this faction who intend to run in 28.
You have the center right, those who thought they were voting to close borders and lower prices. They are, or are becoming, disenfranchised by Trump’s self-enrichment and failure to control prices, not to mention his divisiveness. These are a bloc of voters who aren’t well represented in GOP circles these days despite their solid paleo-conservative roots…essentially swing voters. Could very well see a Bush reemergence to woo these voters, perhaps even a Brian Kemp run.
These are all very different groups with different objectives, opinions, and philosophies. Trump has been able to get them to coalesce via a cult of personality…he’s an adept salesman and has proven to be very effective in reading the public to be an incredibly effective populist which has allowed him to consolidate power over different factions. Once he leaves???
So who is the next party leader? Will Trump destroy MAGA on his way out, believing it’s his own and not to be handed down? Will he destroy the GOP as these factions turn against him? Is there a unifier behind him? Can JD, the most obvious successor, command a cult of personality to overcome divides?
Curious who yall see steering this ship in the near future.

MAGA as we’ve known it is done. There may be someone who adopts some of the MAGA agenda subtly, whatever you think that may be. But nobody is going to go public with full blown MAGA… Too much of the electorate has grown tired of it and the drama.

The succession fight right now is between Vance and Rubio. Ted Cruz is trying to muscle in but he's way too sloppy.
Watch for more conflict between Rubio and Vance, like what we saw last week in regard to the Russian "peace proposal." Vance and Rubio spent the week undermining each other. That is the beginning of the factions taking shape.

Trump basically abandoned MAGA so MAGA is going to go the way of the Tea Party. The uniparty wins again.
The next battle will be America First versus the uniparty with the injection of Gen Z “conservatives”. It will start on the GOP side. Stay tuned.

That depends
Can someone even define MAGA at this point?

It’s Trump. That’s why when he’s out of power MAGA is also out of power.

MAGA is Trump basically.
When Trump goes, MAGA goes. We'll almost certainly get something that replaces it though and we may not even notice a difference.

I don’t think we necessarily need an all powerful MAGA, though. It would be a good thing if we don’t need it.
Moving forward, I see MAGA being proportional to how retarded the left is acting. If they want to crank up the bullshite again, you’ll get a good bit of MAGA.

TDS obsession... We still have over 3 years before that "MAGA baton" is passed.

Good post.
Good indicator and the reason why it came about.
Part of what's great about this country. You can't go too far either way.

If you think America First is far right, wait until you see America Only.
