Ole Miss fans plea to Kiffin circulating on social media

Oh I hope so bad he breaks their wittle hearts. They are so desperate
“Lane, your years in Oxford have shaped a narrative few could have predicted.
When you first stepped off that jet in Oxford, you weren’t the polished, centered, media-friendly “Lane 2.0” ESPN is now celebrating. You were a brilliant coach with a battered reputation, burned bridges, and a personal life that desperately needed a reset. You didn’t look like a man in control — you looked like a deer in the headlights.
Most programs wouldn’t have rolled the dice on you.
Oxford did — immediately and without hesitation.
This town and this University gave you space to breathe.
They gave you trust you hadn’t earned yet.
They gave you resources, freedom, patience, and support.
Most importantly, they gave you something rare in your world: stability.
Your daughter convinced you to stay.
Your ex-wife moved here.
Your family rooted here.
Your priorities shifted.
Your life quieted down.
And for the first time in years, you found some peace.
Somewhere in all of that, Oxford and Ole Miss reshaped you.
Not the SEC.
Not the money.
Not the national spotlight.
Oxford — the town, the University, the people, the pace — rebuilt you.
And now you’ve admitted it yourself: you need Oxford more than Oxford needs you.
That isn’t weakness — it’s honesty. It’s clarity. It’s the clearest sign of how far you’ve come.
Because the version of you the nation is celebrating — healthier, grounded, more self-aware — didn’t exist before Ole Miss. He was built right here, year after year, by a community that believed in you long before the rankings ever did.
And yes, other programs with bigger wallets will always come calling. That’s the business.
But here’s the truth:
They can match the money.
They can’t replicate Oxford or The University of Mississippi!
You can chase opportunity anywhere.
You can only find this version of yourself in one place.
So remember:
Oxford didn’t just give you a job.
Oxford gave you your life back.
You rebuilt Ole Miss football — absolutely.
But Oxford rebuilt you.

Good letter. And it's true.

I personally don't think he leaves. It makes no sense too...

But, But, But
IF you do leave just wait, the stories we have on youuuuuuu……grab the popcorn.

Would hiring Kiffen make LSU more desperate.

I love the extra o for no reason

If a viral Facebook post swayed his decision then I was completely wrong about coveting Lane.

Dear Lane
While all that may be true, you know why you have to leave. Chance at championships, which is the reason you coach.
Also- LSU is a special place in itself. No place like Tiger Stadium and the fans.
Signed LSU fans

Vaughn-Hemingway holds 68,000. Their facilities are behind many of the others. This can’t be rectified in a year or two. If Kiffin leaves it won’t be money. It will be these things along with an inability to get top 10 recruiting classes. He can love the fans, the town, the environment, but that doesn’t translate to an 18 yo kid loving it.

I feel bad for them... wait... no I don't. Go to hell Ole Miss!!!!
Posted on 11/23/25 at 11:04 am to Cargeaux89
Assuming all of that is true, he doesn’t owe them anything.
Great job rebuilding our head coach ole piss. Couldn’t have done it without you. Lane needs a bigger boat and the entire world knows it. Your letter opined on it. We are that bigger boat. Thanks for the memories.

That letter is insulting if you are Lane Kiffin.

quote:It makes perfect sense lol. Do yall not understand that it's over for Ole Miss? Ole Miss has gotten by because LSU has had a horrible coach in BK. Both our losses to Ole Miss as well as our wins have been by last drive plays. If Lane doesn't leave now, our new coach will beat his arse every year going forward. We just showed we can take the #1 portal class if we want. WAY more teams are now wising up to how great you can build in the portal now than when Kiffen was one of the rare few doing it.

He either leaves now, or becomes an 8-9 win a year coach at Ole Miss going forward. This conference is slowing figuring everything out. You think they will allow the Big 10 to keep winning these championships?

People who think money can’t buy happiness, clearly aren’t buying the right stuff.
Posted on 11/23/25 at 12:18 pm to Cargeaux89
Simple rebuttal…
The worst coach in Ole Miss history Ed Orgeron went to LSU and built the GOAT team in college football…
That’s the difference between the schools…
Lane knows this…

It’s actually extremely condescending and borderline insulting in several parts.

Exactly why LSU and other majors wouldn’t have touched him.
Exactly why he was available to Ole Miss, and why Ole Miss was available to him.
But, now that he is Lane Kiffin 2,0, LSU is interested in him, and he is interested in LSU!
