-Took USF from the cellar (2-10, 1-11 seasons before Golesh) to now 3 consecutive bowl games, sitting at 8-3.
-Has currently the #4 total offense in the country and #5 scoring offense
-UT had the #1 offense in the country with him as OC in 2022
-UCF had the #2 total offense in the county in 2020 with him as OC
-only 41
-cheap salary (currently makes $2.5m)
-no drama or trolling

Get him on the cheap, no big buyout, and spend the rest of the budget on staff and NIL. If lane does leave ole miss, they should go after him if nobody else gets this dude.

We aren't paying BK buyout to hire Golesh or any small time coach, they are plan Bs

Florida’s fans have become content with making bowl games…

Sunk cost fallacy

At some point you realize you're playing an untenable game created by a madman (sexton)... you either keep playing the game and keep paying stupid money for being in a game, or you have enough balls to say that you've had enough, restart, and show the market it can be done another way

Option A: keep paying hundreds of millions for average

Option B: go where nobody else has gone and leave a path

I truly think this will happen at some point... I don't think this will happen now, because all of the big time boosters got suckered into the hype

Or…or….maybe the market is right, and head coach’s are this valuable to programs. If you get a good one.

It’s not a cope lol many Florida insiders still think we get Kiffin. I’d just prefer not to spend that type of money on him. I think he’s solid but not worth that much. Reminds me of an NFL draft where a lot of teams need a good QB and the QB class isn’t great. Everyone is over extending themselves.

That would be true if there were a salary cap we had to spend from, and if you knew for certain none of these options would be good

I agree with you. I'd pick Golesh over any other g5 coach and over Drink without even thinking about it.

I agree. I wanted Napier. And while it didn't work out at UF, we are in a much worse position having spent a boatload of money on BK. Napier would have been easier on the boosters to fire and more money could be diverted to NIL.

If a HC at a smaller school has sustained success, and his brand of offense or defense has carried over from when they were an OC or DC, there shouldn't be any reason not to believe in time they can replicate that at a larger program considering a larger program has more resources.

Right now Sumrall is the sexier hire out of that G5 group.... and we'll only go that route if all collapses.

Fans that don’t are either dumb or have no plans on spending money on LSU.

The money clearly matters and there are several live storylines that could illustrate this for anyone that cares to notice.

Progressing through the stages of grief I see, nice progress to make it to acceptance already.

I agree it will happen eventually but LSU doesn't have the balls to make that kind of move.

I wouldn’t take another over Kiffin, but I’d be just as happy with Golesh, Riley, Brohm or Kingsbury
