My sister’s grandma name is Honey.

My mother’s is ShuShu. Was supposed to be Mama Shirl but her first grandchild couldn’t say it. This is how it came out and they thought it was cute.

from my circle of friends, most people seem to tell their grandkids what to call them instead of letting the grandkids choose...so it's mostly cutesy sounding names

Boxy. When our son was two or so, my MIL crawled into a big cardboard box used to deliver a dishwasher, and he had a blast getting into it himself.

We are now all in our 30s-40s. My oldest sister couldn't call out to our aunt Tara from her crib. The entire family and all our kids call her "Totter" to this day.
