Jimbo actually won a National Championship as a head coach before being hired onto A&M

Politics. Backed the wrong candidate for governor. Also, don’t give out 10 year guaranteed contracts.

For 3 reasons.

1.) Scott decided to fire Wade.

2.) Scott could have admitted his mistake last year and hire Wade back but didn’t.

3.) He decided to hire BK and not Lane when Lane wanted the job.

We also had to settle for BK.

Other big names used the LSU opening as leverage to get raises from their current employer and Riley went to Southern Cal. Kelly was all we could get.

Unless we hired a young hotshot but Woodward would have been run out of town on a rail.
