Nice work corch Saban. The bleeding pussies all around him were crying and begging lane to atay at OM because what about the keeds???

Rece talking about OM building a statue of him LOL

Saban laid it out methodically and you can bet he advised LK of rhe same points...

LSU is a place you will consistently win and compete for Natties. You will recruit at a higher level than OM period. You cant rely on the portal to be your strategy every year.

Nick also made it clear, this is a CFB calendar problem, not a LK problem due to ridiculous timing of early signing day and portal.

People are emotionally unintelligent and business illiterate. This is what the NCAA has created

There’s also the downside of our expectations.

Coaching at LSU is a tremendous pressure.

Our last 3 coaches were chewed up and spit out.

High risk, high reward.

O and BK dropped the ball. Les had a great run but fizzled out because his offenses couldn't adapt.

Why would we be above a statue for Lane Kiffin?!? The guy is what, 50?!? lane could and likely will absolutely wreck at LSU for many years.

Saban lobbying for LSU behind closed doors says plenty about the reality of the two jobs. It’s not that Oxford isn’t nice and Ole Miss is a bad job but ultimately Lane wants to win multiple natties.

Good coaches thrive on this. Jay Johnson has talked about it many times.

I don’t think making the playoff at least once in 4 years, not fricking every blonde that comes your way and getting lazy after winning a NC, or evolving your caveman 1970s offense is asking for much.

Huh? Les Miles was here for 12 years.

And how did it end for him?

All their careers were basically over when they were fired.

Literally happened to then last year. Went all in and went 9-3. Hell Kelly even found that out himself. But that was mainly because he thought he was the smartest person in the room and let go essential staff key to recruiting the state. And had to pay more for them to get them back.

Miles was kept around for over 10 years.

O decided chasing strange was more important than coaching

Kelly was lazy and checked out.

They weren’t chewed up and spit out.

so you’re saying lsu fans have too high of expectations yet when these coaches get fired no other school wanted them. Seems like our expectation of what our coaches should be is aligned with the rest of college football.

Are some of you really going to sit here and act like we don’t have extremely high expectations?

I didn’t know it was a controversial opinion.

Les won a championship and played in another.

O led us to the greatest season ever

Different time though. If the playoffs existed then, LSU would've either been in or competing for a spot. Problem was sustainability and well Bama.

I thought paying the players and allowing unfettered access to the transfer portal would allow us to get out of this mindset that players are just poor, helpless, innocent bystanders in all of this. But I guess not

Players have become far more fickle and less loyal than any coach, but we are still out here like “but what about the kids!?!?”

NIL and transfer portal are responsible for creating this situation, players getting what they wanted led to this new and what will become more frequent coaching playoff issue. Also importantly, sports media, like the one on game day, is responsible for pushing the NIL problem ferociously despite the system not being near ready to handle it

Welcome, all involved, players, coaches, media, to the monster you created

Their careers were over because of their respective age and inability to adapt to today’s game. All of them also are set for life financially.

Saban knows lane could never do what he did so he wants him to go and crash and burn at lsu so there will never be any doubt who’s best

Consistently one of the dumbest things I read on here.

They have notes and they probably know what each person is going to say because they’ll prep the next segment during a break, but no it’s not scripted. No one has an opinion that they’re told to change just for TV. “You believe that? Well the producer says no you don’t.” That’s ridiculous.

we do but at the same time it’s not like we fired a head coach that had success elsewhere. There’s been no premature firings.
