Woke up Oct. 20th and my right knee would not bend or straighten. No issues prior to predict this. After three days at home in bed finally called for an ambulance. After a week in the hospital and numerous tests and blood work it was determined I had an infection of pseudomonas bacteria in my knee. Stayed in hospital taking antibiotics and other meds till last Monday when they sent me to the rehab hospital. Leg is making progress but still can’t stand or freely move my leg. Please keep this not so old tiger fan in your prayers so I can hopefully walk and be out of here by Christmas. Thank you

If you’re in the rehab hospital that’s a good sign. Sorry that you’re going through this but look at rehab as the light at the end of the tunnel!

I can't imagine waking up with a newly non functional limb and not being seen right then.

Still, here's to your recovery and a merry Christmas.

Never heard of this. What causes it?

It's called getting married. It's a little more gradual but the limb becomes almost obsolete after a few years

Hope it gets better baw.

Back in July my mom got a MRSA infection in her knee. It had to be flushed twice and she was in the hospital for 2 or 3 weeks and had a pick (spelling?) line in her arm for 6 weeks. She had to walk with a walker for a month or so but now she's back to walking 4 or 5 miles every other day and there seems to be no lingering negatives. Hopefully you have the same results as her.

Thank you for the prayers. For those asking I am 57 and because I could not move my leg I could not have anyone bring me to the hospital which is why I has to have an ambulance. I had foot surgery back at the end of September and was on antibiotics and it is thought by the doctors that the infection was a result of the bacteria becoming resistant to the antibiotics and infecting my knee.

Instead he took a $2k Uber ride, probably paid for by one government entity or another.

You sound like you had a pair of crutches laying around that could've got you to a uber/Lyft/friend's vehicle.

Had a similar issue with my knee due to the meniscus. Drove myself to the ER.

I have no idea what caused it.

Had it scoped and went through physical therapy and it still isn't right.

stay on top of that baw, I had something similar about 20 years ago, almost died from it, doctors had a heck of a time trying to figure out what it was, tried many different, and a shitton of antibiotics, they ended up calling it sepsis, but I'm not sure they were sure, but don't stop taking those meds until you've kicked its arse
