I’ve been through this so many times. Read this board for years. This looks just like all the other false alarms. I still think we’re being played.

Yep, I think we're all just very cautiously optimistic but mentally prepared for the worst due to our PTSD.

Yep. Definitely feels that way, then Florida comes out of nowhere.

I have no inside information, but I've never believed Kiffin would be our next coach. It doesnt withstand reasonable scrutiny. I could be wrong, of course, but it just strikes me as incredibly improbable.

Based just on logic, it seems more likely we'll end up with a young, up and coming coaching prospect. Which could be a great thing.

100%. Just hope our plan b is going after Dilly and we have better success in that offer.

I reckon this is what sitting in the cuck chair feels like?

I never wanted Riley or Herman so I have never experienced this.

Feels bad, man.

As much as I wanna beleive all the rumors on here, I have a gut feeling it falls apart with Kane and Kenny ends up being the guy

A lot like “Miles to Michigan”, except no major media is touching it.

Marcus Freeman as DC, too. There was actually a press conference to announce him being hired. It went a little late then they announced he was going to ND.

Sexton strikes again. Let the message boards run wild but only two people know what's going on, him and Lane.

LSU, for whatever reason, has a hard time identifying when they are being used for leverage. Take it as a compliment that the LSU job can accomplish such things, but folks at LSU (admin and boosters) are naive IMO.

I am in this camp. I just don't see it happening. The logic of the move doesn't add up. Stranger things can and will happen. However, it's a little challenging to square this circle.

I never wanted them either, but this board was convinced we were getting them.

I'm talking about the rumors on this board, how they fester and explode every time we have a coaching hire, how we get this one candidate in our mind that is apparently the dream candidate and then they use us for leverage in whatever they really want.

I'm just watching it all play out. It's the LSU leadership that gets jerked around every. single. time.

Lucy and the football with Charlie Brown. And we keep falling for it.

LSU has said nothing about a pursuit of Lane. I would assume LSU has and is pursuing Lane, but even if he doesn't end up at LSU that's not the same as being played. If he leaves Ole Miss they weren't played. If he turns down UF they weren't played. All of these schools will be fine no matter where he ends up.
