How can Deboer to PSU be anything other than a meme?

I was surprised to see so many articles talking about how Deboer is the main target for PSU. That can't be serious right?

Uh-oh. Kiffin to Bama!

When he loses the iron bowl, it’ll be serious for sure

Crazier things have happened but I can’t see him leaving. He won’t have better financial commitments at Penn State. Just another Sexton client caught up in the crazy season rumors.

In my mind the biggest issue with Deboer to PSU is who the hell would have a better setup than Alabama? The only people I can see even competing with Alabama is Georgia, Ohio State, and Texas.

I don't see it either.
if he goes it will be to get away from the pressure of the SEC in general and Alabama specifically.

I despise Bama but why the f would you leave them to go to PSU?

That's my thoughts exactly

Maybe the Saban expectations got to him

AtM seems to be rolling along just fine in Elko Year 2.

I mean it’s basically one PSU beat writer who has thrown his name out there. Mainly though his agent his Jimmy Sexton and all of his clients’ names magically get floated around this time of year. He’s not going to Penn St.

He just lost his second game of the year after losing 4 games last season. I'm sure a brick or two has already been thrown through his bedroom window.
But we ain't supposed to lose, Pawl.

When Deboer first went to Alabama, I was thinking "I would hate to be the poor soul who has to fill in Saban's shoes"

True. There's a very good chance that he didn't truly grasp what he was signing up for. Not at a Tuscaloosa pressure cooker level.

That wouldn't even make sense. Now what would be absolutely hilarious would be if Bama kicked Deboer out he goes to penn state and then Bama turns around and hires Lane Kiffin.
I would actually laugh hysterically if that happened.

He's not going anywhere lol, Bama will never be the same they retired the greatest coach of all time. Very doubtful they get back to that level of dominance in this NIL era

Nobody will

DeBoer would be off of his rocker to willingly leave Alabama to go to another program that is several tiers below Bama, who just fired their coach who was averaging 10 wins a season.
