Shooting 50% from the field

Raptors are 2nd in the East, should have traded Zion instead of BI

Would pair well with Queen and Fears

Trey is a really good role player not meant to be a top 3 player on a team not great when asked to do too much.

That is all.

I wish they could do a break down of what percentage of his shots were in the last two minutes of the game He was terrible in close games , coming down and dribbling the air out of the ball and taking the last couple of shots of every close game only to miss over and over again. He may have gotten better in Toronto maybe better teammates idk but he was a constant choke artist here in close games. Good luck to BI but I don’t miss him

I almost responded in on of the multiple threads about how Zion has produced so little here with a defense of BI who dragged us for a few years to much greater success than Zion ever has.

He's in a better role now. He's the 3rd option that can be a 1 or 2 option every few games with two dudes that can space for him.

Zion and CJ and Murray were suppose to do that and you never saw it. Zion didn't take this team over because he was never on the court.

I will never understand why BI is anything other than universally loved here. He did miss a lot of time, but he was great for us. No surprise to me that he is doing well in Toronto.

It would have been the same situation - Zion playing well for them and Bi struggling to stay on the court, because they have a coach and medical staff.

I don't think most people realize almost everyone in the nba is terrible late in games, outside of a few superstars, which is why they are superstars.

Last 2 minutes of a 5 point or less game
This year
BI 1-3 from the field in 4 games, 0-0 FT, 0 turnovers, 1 assist
Zion 4-8 from the field in 3 games, 5-7 FT, 1 turnover, 1 assist

2025
BI 3 for 5 (60%) from the field in 7 games. 0-2 FT, 0 turnovers, 1 assist
Zion 5 for 8 (63%) from the field in 12 games, 3-3 FT, 3 turnovers, 3 assists
and just for your frame of reference,
MVP SGA 7-16 (44%)in 18 games, 17-19 FT, 0 turnovers, 1 assist
Should have been MVP Jokic 19-44 (43%) in 30 games, 16-22 FT, 8 turnovers, 14 assists
all-nba player Tatum 12-41 (29%) from the field in 28 games, (3-19 from 3) 16-22 FT, 2 turnovers, 7 assists.

2024
BI 8-21 (38%) from the field in 21 games, 6-7 FT, 1 turnover, 5 assists
Zion 5-14 (36%) from the field in 24 games, 2-6 FT, 5 turnovers, 6 assists

I still said I would pay 40mil for him, had a feeling he was playing hard ball with the team by being 'injured' and look at that.

No. Why isn't he loved?

Soft
Always hurt
Ball stopper
Not clutch
Always looks high
Inefficient game

BI did not want to be here anymore, that was clearly evident. He was tired of fat arse not putting in the work and tired of this stupid organization. I can't blame him for not wanting to be here anymore, and i'll root for him wherever he goes.

He also shooting the best of his career from everywhere on the court inside the 3 point line so far this year, but the worst from 3 since his rookie year.

He did miss a lot of time

I mean that’s the answer. Most people here like BI. Most people here were concerned about the contract to a guy seemingly unwilling to play everyday for the Pelicans.

Of the pelicans many, many problems, veterans refusing to play here might be the biggest problem.

Baron Davis
Lamar Odom
Anthony Davis
Brandon Ingram
Zion Williamson
Eric Gordon

The real mystery is how people hold a grudge against the one star we’ve ever had that played through injuries and showed up for us - Chris Paul.

BI shot 47% over the course of his career here. Percentages were never his issue.

no he isn't. Just because the refs let Lou Dort rape him in a playoff series doesn't make him soft. At least he was actually there in the playoff series so you could bitch about how he played in it, unlike someone else, and he had just hyperextended his knee and was no where near 100%.

Always hurt

not as much as Zion, and has played every game this year

quote:

Ball stopper

was forced to be the PG and bail us out late in the shot clock all the time since he was the only one who could create his own shot. I've dug into the stats on how he was taking more late in the shot clock attempts than anyone in the league.

Not clutch

Who is?

Always looks high

just dumb

Inefficient game

BI this year
53.7% eFG% while shooting the worst from 3 in his career
59.3% TS%

Zion this year, in supposedly the best shape of his life
48.4% eFG%
54.3% TS%

BI was my favorite pel/hornet for a long time. Loved his mid range game, but he regressed after having that amazing playoff series against the suns. I’m sure a lot of it isn’t his fault as he was being asked to do a lot without Zion.

I will say my opinion of him plummeted in that thunder playoff series, though. Lou Dort made him look like an absolute child. I mean he could do NOTHING against him. I’ve never seen somebody get that absolutely bagged in a bball series

The Raptors are getting outscored in BI minutes this season, and BI has a -14.9 Net Rating, so...

We were missing him for about 60% of the games when he was a Pelican.
