Who are y’all using for Euro mounts in the Baton Rouge/Zachary area?

One of my son’s did his himself. I’ll find a pic and post it. I was impressed with the process he copied off a YouTube vid.

Yeah, it not hard. I just leave mine in a big tub of water until spring or whatever and then wash & bleach. They look better than the ones I've paid for.

I made my own buck boiler. Cost me about $25 from the local hardware store.

I have a buddy in Albany that does them, think he charges around $125. If interested I can try to link ya'll up.

There's a guy on here in Pontchatula that does them

I made my own buck boiler. It’s very easy to make and very easy to use

My son does all ours. Just skin off everything you can, cut out the eyes, and put in simmering water up to the antlers.
We use our turkey frying pot (don't tell my wife). IIRC they say not to let it get to a rolling boil, just simmer. And then pick everything clean and brush with peroxide.
Here’s one he did a couple years back.

NB4. “Just put it in an ant pile”.

Flat-back horse water/food bucket, drill hole near bottom on flat side (I think it's a 1 1/8" hole), insert 1500w water heater element, secure with 1" conduit nut on inside, wire to a short piece of extension cord.
I have a full tutorial in the stickied thread at the top of the Board. The pictures have disappeared (I guess because I used postimages to host them). I have tweaked my process since then, mainly adding steps at the end to fully degrease the skull. I may still have the pictures that go along with the thread, and will possibly update it if anyone needs pics.

I’ve used the ant pile method… it works!

I had a little 4 pt I boiled forever for my son and it still had bits of rubbery cartilage. I tried ants, no luck. Tied it off on the dock and the crabs picked that sucker clean overnight.

go to tractor supply buy a 7 gal tub, add a 1500 watt heating element to it fill with water and some vinegar. cape out the skull add the deer head and plug it in take out when done and apply clear coat to antlers and skull mount to a whatever you desire
