Havent watched his new documentary about the American Revolution, but early returns are that it makes American colonists look awful and praises Britain and portrays the native Americans as the foundation of the United States.

He’s a globalist approved propagandist. What did you expect?

Who's the clam at the bottom?

He should just stick to sports documentaries like "Baseball". Keith Olberman is another one who lost his mind once he ventured into politics.

His new doc is ate up with woke. Yes I know slaves existed a long time ago … let’s not make it a focal point of the revolutionary war period.

The guy interviewing Ken seems like he would be a blast at parties.

Then you aren't watching. Plus, why do you fear discussing the fact that the colonists were not always angels? You do realize guys like Howe and Gage had spent a lot of time in the colonies pte revolution and were somewhat sympathetic to their complaints? Guys like Sam Adams had flaws just like Parliament did.
It is true that during the revolution the revolutionaries did harass people who wanted to stay loyal. It's also true that a lot of local loyalists took up arms and terrorized revolutionary patriots.
It's true that the people in New England were not particularly fond of colonists from the South and vice versa....and no one was particularly fond of New Yorkers. John Adams thought people in PA were crazy for adopting their overly progressive state constitution and Southerners thought it incredibly dangerous to give non landowners the right to vote.....even though they were relying on rank and file types to do the fighting.
Just remember, guys like Adams and Jefferson did not even point a gun during the Revolution. Whereas guys like Washington, Hamilton and James Monroe did.
It's true that Washington had reservations about free black men from New England being part of the regular army. It's also true that Washington was not a military genius. He was more like Ike.....which ain't all that bad.

Does this guy forget his Civil War Documentary showed the Confederates in a sympathetic light?
It was a pretty neutral documentary and that right there will get you put in the camps for showing history as history.

Probably 70% of Americans are incapable ot understanding nuance and seeing the big picture. Making slavery or anything else the main story besides the founding of the greatest country in world history incorrectly skews the viewers perception of reality. Which is why we have a whole generation of skyscreamers who think Trump is a king.

What’s true is some young men risked it all to give you this country.
Staying loyal to the crown wasn’t the risk.

Ken Burns has always been a leftist. I’m sure he never touches on the failed attempt at communism by the pilgrims, but he’ll be sure to make sure you’re aware of every colonist who ever thought about owning a slave.

He's basically disavowed it at this point and blamed any and all of its fair treatment of the Confederacy on Shelby Foote.

Watch the first 3 minutes and look at the donors who funded the film.
They’re all globalist groups, but what was interesting was that similar PBS shows in the past would’ve also been funded by USAID outs under various guises and they were nowhere to be seen for this one.
The State Dept and CIA have been basically curating PBS for decades using public tax money redirected to attempt to manage domestic opinions and it’s far worse when you look at their impact on college campuses via funding (or not funding) departments and initiatives based on political ideology and agendas.

For about 1/3 of the colonists siding with the revolutionaries was a huge risk in their estimation. New Yorkers for example made a lot of money with Great Britain. Plus a lot of people thought of themselves as British. Some 50,000 colonists seved in the British army during the revolution in some way or another.
If they lost, they were worried about property confiscation and risked having to relocate either back to Britain or Canada. There were risks in joining either side. British really screwed themselves early on with the occupation of Boston. If they don't unload thousands of troops in Boston, history is waaaaay different because many in the colonies saw guys like Sam Adams and his bunch as radicals and kind of dangerous

It's part of the story, but it's not a big part of the story in this documentary. Maybe they spend 10 minutes on it. Tops

Not the least bit surprising to anybody who's even marginally familiar with his work. He has always prioritized the "woke" angle in his so-called documentaries, including MLB and everything else. And, a lot of his work was done before anybody was even talking about a woke mindset.
These people will say or do anything to make sure they're an integral part of "the club."

Dont expect anyone to actually watch the video lol
