To make a decision about his future ,how long would we wait on him to make a decision?

Would it be after the playoffs or would we have moved on by then?

I don’t think he would ever have considered leaving. He would have just played around for a better contract.

I still think there’s a good chance he won’t, but ole miss better stop fricking around. He’s the hottest coaching candidate on the market. You can’t frick around with that. You need him more than he needs you.

I don't know, but it's kind of a good thing for all teams involved. It leaves plenty of time to find another guy.

I think he was leaving one way or the other but I really think he wanted it to happen after the season ended. Ole Miss are morons for forcing his hand

The ideal situation for Ole Miss would be for him to flirt till mid-January and then re-sign. fricking LSU in the process. FL too, but I doubt if Ole Miss fans care as much about that. But it's Lane Kiffin and who in their right mind would expect him to stand by an unpapered agreement?

That isn’t ideal at all. It would probably torpedo their playoff run and would almost certainly impact their ability to attract recruits and transfers. It would be a huge negative hit.

Some of yall are taking crazy pills.

It’s not crazy pills, they don’t have the mental acuity to be the assistant crew chief at Circus Burger.

If ole Miss truly gave him an ultimatum they did a huge favor to LSU and UF.

Either way neither school will have to wait on him and can move forward.

So you think it would tank their recruiting having him coach into the playoffs and then resign ?

But you don’t think it would tank it if he leaves now? You are out of your mind stupid. Who the frick is ole miss getting if lane leaves? Matt Luke 2.0 or some shite.

Lane gets them good and think it’s because of the program. Ole Miss is insane to force his hand

Ole Miss raised the funds to offer $15M to Lane. The Grove Collective is stocked. Ole Miss is definitely not in bad shape and anyone suggesting they should cuck to Lane is dull beyond words.

Best part of all of it, whatever he does should happen soon and LSU and Florida can move past it whatever it is

The next guy would have a fighting chance to salvage things if he leaves now.

Last time they had an opening they managed to hire a solid coach. They can again. There are lots of other good football coaches and OM has proven they are committed financially.

Dense beyond words. Kiffin has them in legit contention. Freeze was never actually going to sniff championships. With the amount of openings right now, it doesn’t matter how open your check book is. Driving kiffin away would leave them dead on the spot

You’re both overrating Lane Kiffin and underrating how attractive OM will be to good candidates.

Its all too fishy. The leaked information is not good for LSU. Don't think LSU was ever in the running. It was always going to be a ploy to get him a better deal at OM or the job at Florida.

So you are asking Ole Miss to be a babyback bitch in this scenario? If I'm Ole Miss, I'm saying screw that - they have to look out for themselves short, middle, and long term.

Ole Miss can get Jon Sumrall if they want to.... all respect to Lane for what he's accomplished but he's not football Jesus.

After the playoffs is not an option unless you’re willing to throw away the 2026 transfer and recruiting cycle.
