Sociopathic hot rod drivers

Hearing the nightly drag races on Burbank has become lots of fun from my place in Southdowns. Just when you think BR couldn’t get worse, NIL has created a new cadre of assholes polluting the soundscape.

You must have woken up from a deep freeze sometime after 2010. They're not hot rods, they are Chargers and Challengers. We have them in Houston too.

I live a few blocks off of Tiger Bend Road and it's like living next door to State Capitol Dragway at times.

Reading this and remembering that the mayor is a football coach made me laugh

Although I in no way endorse street racing, excessive speeding, or reckless driving, I do enjoy the sound of a Camaro, Mustang, Challenger, or other performance car when the driver stomps on the gas pedal in the appropriate setting. It's a sound like no other; to me it signifies American exceptionalism, wretched excess, and many of other qualities that make the United States the country that it is.

But see: the drivers.

I just realized that this actually reads as though I was joking, I actually wasn't, that was me. I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that the loud exhaust you heard was somewhere around 8:38
In my defense, the truck is extremely quiet in normal driving. The problem is the Dual two and a half inch b pipes and then three and a half inch Y pipe to 3 in piping, there's only so much that I can ask of the resonator, quiet Series Muffler, and secondary resonator that's right after that.

WOAT. you really don’t think about noise pollution until you get older, and it’s probably my biggest societal complaint.
I can overlook poor customer service pretty much everywhere, people being assholes, bad driving, shitty politicians, etc., BUT when that outside noise comes into your home I melt the frick down.
Loud cars, annoying thumping bass, leaf blowers and yappy dogs.
Country baws got it good.

I visited family last week and stayed close to I-10. Seems like they were doing some serious racing around 3:30a Friday morning.
Trashy.
Trashy.

You’ve been frozen in time as well. They’re almost all Mustangs.

Like that LSU football player that drove across double yellow lines and caused that accident that killed someone. Then fled. Then discharged a firearm in anger. Then blew his brains out after a high speed chase with cops.
That kind of NIL a-hole?

The Carolina squat is illegal in North and South Carolina.

It's been fairly quiet around Old Hammond/Millerville/O'Neal so feel free to keep them.
