Let’s see hoe Borrego does. He might be the guy now that Willie isn't around to not take his advice.

People will mention the retreads because they’re names we recognize. Here’s who I hope we get: Spurs Associate HC Sean Sweeney. He’s the top assistant right now for the Spurs. For the last several years he was the architect of the improved Mavs defense that helped that team make the leap to the finals before Nico nuked the team. He’s been getting interviews the last few hiring cycles. The Mavs have visibly declined from and Xs and Os standpoint since he left and the Spurs defense has shown improvement over last year. I know the personnel has impact but he’s been a respected defensive mind and respected by players at every stop. Spurs fans are thrilled with him and without him in Dallas, Kidd suddenly is looking way more vulnerable.

He’d be a bright intense young culture setter who can grow and grow with our young roster for the next decade.

I don’t consider Jenkins and Malone retreads. One just recently won a championships and developed that nuggets team and the other did a great job developing a bunch of unknown players on that grizz team. For a team like New Orleans they would be great gets

zero reason for either to want to come here.

Malone would command a top 5 salary to come here. I don’t think Gayle has ever paid above the bottom 3rd

Monty Williams. He deserves to have some talent after the teams he endured here. We played hard. played defense. He had nobody. He had a G League team.

Malone or Thibs if we want to be a serious contender.

Let’s see if Dumars can swing it. Time for him to make his money.

I do not think an established coach fits the Pelican or Saints SOP. Either JB will keep the job or it will go to a up and comer. Of the new bloods I Like Sam Cassell or someone like a R Rondo

Taylor Jenkins. Gayle isn’t paying the 10m/yr that Malone will require. I like Borrego but would rather Jenkins unless Borrego proceeds to go on a run the rest of the year
