Justin you are the new Mac! You complained when they hired the GM, you said it was too short no process. Now they are taking their time and you complain its taking too long! Lol
Borrego? Hard pass.
He modernized the offense, but we can't ignore the numbers:
24–46 Interim Record: Stats don't matter if you can't win. He finished the season 1–9 in his last 10, showing he can't stop the bleeding.
Late-Game Failures: We finished with a -4.5 Net Rating (21st in the league). In games decided by 6 points or less, he was a liability—losing tight ones to the Timberwolves (132-126), Rockets (107-105), and Suns (118-116).
Soft Identity: We ranked 28th in Opponent Offensive Rebounding. His small-ball lineups lack the "grit" Dumars is looking for.
Charlotte History: He led them to back-to-back Play-In spots only to get blown out both times. He hits a ceiling when the stakes are high.
No Fresh Start: He’s already part of the system. We need an outside voice to break the cycle, not a promotion for the guy who oversaw a 26–56 season.
We need a coach who prioritizes defense and toughness. Borrego ain't it.

Some of you are insufferable!Billy D has had 1 winning season in his last 6 years of coaching! That's worst than Bill Green. Lol Lol Lol
re: If Joe “ run’s it back” with the same roster , without any major player movement

Why do you bother posting here if you like nothing about the team or organization? I do not like how things are going, however, I enjoy basketball and the Pels have NOLA on the front!
Malone is a garbage coach! Without the best player in the world he has a sub 500 record. How do you think that would work for the Pels?

re: Spinoff- Who does Fears remind you of?

Tony Parker is in the HOF. Would be great if Fears progresses to that level
I do not think an established coach fits the Pelican or Saints SOP. Either JB will keep the job or it will go to a up and comer. Of the new bloods I Like Sam Cassell or someone like a R Rondo
re: Bryce Underwood - hypothetical

I do not think signing Underwood had anything to do with the additional NIL money spent. Nuss get close to 5 mil in NIL and Underwood 3.2

Please stop posting. Your negativity really spoils good post and good conversation. I love the Pels and every season brings optimism. You've made your point in far too many posts. We already know what you think about the owner, management, players, training staffs and so on. Let us who still enjoy talking about our favorite team do so without your constant negativity.

Kessler and Queen compliment each other not compete with the other

Yes, I understand Kessler will need an extension. If we get him we should pay it. His extension will be in the 25 mil range. So we would have our rim protector for the next 5 years. Added bonus is shedding DJM hawk and missi while adding Kessler , if we move Collins or let him expire pels would gain around 12 the 15 mil in cap space
It would be a great Trade for the Pels! Securing a top 5 rim protector on a rookie contract. Plus getting an expiring John Collins who could be flipped at trade deadline or be effective small ball five. All for an unproven and however, talented big and an overrated poor shooting , shooting guard. All the while ridding yourself of an anchor contract in DJM is a real win for Pels!
re: Lineup???
Posted by GMeaux on 6/29/25 at 2:38 pm to Safety Blitz
There is absolutely no World in which a 30 million dollar a year player is coming off of the bench. So any lineup that does not include JP will not happen. If he's not a starter he has to be moved.
re: Chris Paul or Rondo

While I agree with CP3 may have a higher BBIQ than Rondo, CP# has not always gotten along with fellow players. Rondo on the other hand did not get along with coaches, however, players from every team he played on raves about him as a teammate and his ability to make everyone play better.
CP#'s IQ has made him one of the best pg of all time. Rondo's ability to connect with players may serve better as a coach.

I'm not saying CJ should not be moved, however, if the choice is between keeping BI or CJ, with this roster it's CJ
re: Cap Projection for next season (2025-2026)

Without BI, Their, Boston and Green according to Spotrac the pels will have $34,775,718 to the 1st apron. Now if they keep the current roster intact they will need to Sign draft picks and get a center.

2. Sam Cassell
3. Terry Stotts

I 100 Percent agree!
plus CJ McCollum has averaged 20.1 points, 4.4 rebounds and 3.1 assists in 67 games in the playoffs in his career.
