Meet socialist Katie Wilson, Seattle’s next mayor

Ms. Wilson has worked odd jobs, written for local publications, and run a tiny nonprofit that sometimes paid her and sometimes didn’t. Wilson will soon be running a city with 12,000 employees, a $7.5 billion budget, which is currently $250 million in the red and could hit $450 million by 2026.
Ms. Wilson has promised
Government-owned grocery stores to combat food deserts.
Rent control across the city.
Universal summer childcare.
Social housing developments.
A capital gains tax on top of the JumpStart payroll tax.
All funded by what she calls “rebalancing” the tax system, which means significantly higher taxes on businesses and anyone she defines as wealthy.
What could possibly go wrong?

had a great uncle who was VERY country soft spoken, didn't say much but when he did you paid attention. he saw a similar woman out somewhere one time and he quipped "I know she can't help being ugly, but she COULD stay home".

Typically the only way that these silly ideas can work. What net worth or income is defined as "wealthy" always seems to move downward, and rather quickly, does it not?

There needs to be a place that we can put all these people in, a facility that's fenced in. Strong security, with a "Food Desert" inside.

I failed to see how anyone, including leftist, can look at people like her and think to themselves " I'm going to vote for her because she has my best interest at heart ".
They truly are mentally ill. And I've lost what little bit of sympathy I had for conservatives stuck in those cities. If you're too stupid to leave you get what you get.
