Josh Pate and Paul Finebaum think he is in play for the various big jobs that are open. Pair him with Blake Baker and both sides of the ball would be covered.

At this point, he would be a homerun hire lmao. This whole process has been a damn rollercoaster and it hasnt even been a month.

Not my top guy but I think it would be a good hire. Lane 1, Brohm 2, Heupel 3, Riley 4, Drink 5. Riley should tear it up here with transfer QBs and our crop of in state receivers

1. Lane ain’t coming, just signed an extension.

2. Brohm is HC at his Alma Mater. Should’ve hired him when he was at Purdue. Instead you hired BK, because you needed a “splash” hire.

3. Huepel, why would he leave Tennessee for LSU?

4. Riley is realistic.

5 Drink is realistic.

1. No he didn't check your sauces before you lost
2-3. Even if each only has a 25% chance of coming that's still 50% one of them comes. Are you suggesting you just don't even try? Glad you're not an AD
4. Yes he is
5. Yes he is

All 5 of these are possibilities. Lane being the least realistic of the group. Yes Brohm at his alma mater but if LSU comes knocking to meaningfully increase your salary with shot at a natty you listen

Because LSU fans have a unique mix of impatience and catastrophe syndrome. Let it play out.

He received an automatic extension after his 7th win. His contract runs through 2031 now.

He will sign another extension soon. According to my Ole Miss people who are big money people.

We should have had Riley in the first place. Something ended the courtship and we went with Brian Kelly instead. He would be a big upgrade in my opinion.

Let him go to Florida where he wants to go. He doesn't want to Coach at LSU. I am still shocked that he wants to Coach in the SEC after he was very adamant about not Coaching in the SEC.

He lives in a $17M house in Southern California with an $11M per year contract. Why in the world would he move to Baton Rouge.....

I am not sold on Lincoln Riley. He went to USC to avoid coaching in the SEC. The SEC competion week in and week out would expose him.

Mississippi can’t give more than 4 year contracts to state employees, which Lane is.

So you don’t know what you’re talking about.

He seems like a fish out of water on the west coast. I don't have any inside information or anything but doesn't feel like a place he's stay at forever.
