We have several guys on the doorstep of 70. How far can they go?

Lane Kiffin got fired (in part) for trying a 76 yard field goal. Was just 20 years ahead of his time.

Aubrey with the cowboys could probably kick 75

Something in the mid-70s will end up the record
But it will be following a fair caught punt with just the holder and kicker

Don’t need the holder on a free kick after a fair catch. Can kick it off the kickoff tee. I don’t think those kicks are counted for FG records as far as distance goes.
Edit: Nevermind, you’re right… in the NFL you need a holder and no tee.

Its hard to say because its really only limited by how much force the human body can withstand.
A few years ago Mark Rober built a FG-kicking robot and kicked one on an NFL field from 70 yards easily. They didn't turn the power up to 100% while in the dome in Detroit. He took it up to 100% and kicked one that would have been good from 105 before it sheared the key off the shaft that rotated the kicking leg. Its a cool video if you have 20 mins to check it out.

I mean with a strong wind? Guys can probably kick it 70+ in a dome. so more than that.

Getting it over the defenders is a limiting factor.

No mention of Little who has the record and hit a 70 in preseason. The 68 yarder could've easily been 73

Janikowski in college regularly kicked off through the goalposts, over 75 yards. There are people who could kick even further in a free kick situation. The difficult part of kicking a FG is only having 3 steps and split seconds with perfect timing under pressure. A free kick is a whole different animal. So if you could have a situation where for some reason there is no defensive pressure and get a free kick. 80-90 would be doable easy.

You need the right scenario and kicker for the maximum distance. End of half or to win the game. Because what coach would risk putting the opponent on their own side of the field if the kick is missed?

It also depends, are we talking Strong wind and in A place like Denver? I’d bet in this perfect scenario 80ish
