Charlotte Man with 52 Arrests Released Hours After Assaulting Woman
Dontaveon Craig, a 36-year-old Charlotte resident, was arrested on November 5, 2025, for assaulting a woman and possessing a controlled substance, his 52nd arrest over more than a decade. He posted bond and was released approximately 10 hours later under North Carolina's pretrial policies allowing quick releases for many offenses. The case underscores patterns of rapid releases for repeat offenders in Mecklenburg County, where violent crimes rose 15% in the past year, prompting Governor Josh Stein to sign a bill on October 3, 2025, banning cashless bail for certain violent felonies and mandating detention for those with multiple prior convictions.

At 52 arrests, it isn’t profiling or the police being bad apples that are out to get you
You should be removed from the gene pool. It’s clear you don’t care about not breaking the law and being a productive member of society

The dumbass white women I know in Charlotte are so close to being self aware but they still can’t put 2 and 2 together that their support of liberal policies created this.

“Assaults woman”
Ambiguous words that say nothing. Was it a shove, slap, fist to the face or sexual? I guess it wasn’t the latter because the story omitted the one word.

With 52 previous arrests, he obviously has a history of both timely payment of his bondsman and making his scheduled court appearances.
Free profit for the bondsman.

36-year-old…52 arrests.
I’d be angry too if I were that bald at his age.
How many times did he commit some crime and not get arrested for it?

Right. You have to do some pretty stupid shite to get arrested. If you're arrested 52 times then you just don't belong in society.
We probably need to start reclassifying some things as felonies
