Universal’s turn-of-the-century The Mummy franchise is back from the dead.

Brendan Fraser, who led the trio of movies made between 1999 and 2008, and Rachel Weisz, who starred in the first two, are in talks to star in a new Mummy sequel.

Radio Silence is set to direct. The filmmaking team of Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett broke through with the clever and fun horror movie Ready or Not in 2019 and are known for helping revitalize the Scream franchise with a pair of movies in 2022 and 2023.

Dang, they are now so old; are they going to BE the mummies in this one?

Most of that was fat suit for The Whale. He is by no means a small guy but I think he can handle this role again. This is him from his new movie Rental Family releasing later this month.

Cast Chris Pratt as the son from The Mummy Returns. Mimic the story beats of Indiana Jones & the Last Crusade. Profit $$$

I didn't know that he wore a fat suit for the movie but I thought I remember that he was going through some pretty rough times and had put on some weight which I can totally relate to in my personal life.

I don't know about Pratt, but Brendan playing the same style role as Connery would be hilarious.

I think someone like Glen Powell would be fun to screw around with Brendan.

The terrible CGI of The Rock did give us one of the worst movies of all time but a fun watch, The Scorpion King.

MUMMY 3, which saw Weisz replaced by Maria Bello and where the 2 main characters had a son.
They had a son in the second and third one. Are they just going to forget the kid, or are they just going to say he's like 40 now?

Isn't their son now older than when Brandon first made The Mummy?

j/k. - feels like we've heard this a couple of times before.

Oh yeah, he was portraying a 600lb man. He got up to 300 because the suit itself weighed up to 300 lbs at his heaviest in the movie and he had to have weight to support it laying on him.

The original was such a fun movie. Hollywood has forgotten how to do that and Rachel Weisz was so damn hot in that movie.
