Someone that is an absolute culture fit. That is familiar with the fertile ground of recruiting, can ignite the fan base and relate with the Alumni money people. Someone who can immediately relate to the people of Louisiana. A lot of pressure for Verge Ausberry to make this happen. Hit your knees and pray we get the coach that can do it all at the right price.

Winning football is how an LSU coach relates to the people of LSU. Saban, Les, & O understood that. They also understood that in spite of the crazies the average LSU fan knows good football. Dinardo & Kelly didn't understand any of it.

There has been an attitude on this board that Saban made LSU. His last significant game before coming here was a loss to the Tigers in the Shreveport Bowl and only a fair record at MSU.
The actuality was that LSU made Saban, not the reverse.

When people say “culture fit” outside Louisiana they’re talking about a whacky, big personality (like Les or O) and bonus points if they moonlight as a shrimp boat captain.
What you mean to say is the coach needs to relate to the players and work his arse off, eat and breathe LSU football 24/7.
That’s the “culture fit” none of the other bullshite.
There were so many people in the media saying BK was too straight laced and implying LSU needs a total dumb shite whack job because our last 2 coaches were dumb shite whack jobs.
That’s what people mean when they say “culture fit” for LSU and it’s total bullshite
