- Previous 2 coaches had Downs Syndrome and won natties
- Unlimited resources, top tier NIL budget, Elite facilities & fan support
- talent rich recruiting footprint with no in-state competition
Top 5 job in college football IMO

I believe all of that to be true. Before the governor decided to make himself the center of attention and make us all appear as dumb as he seems to be.
I hope we can still attract a top notch coach and not some “he’s one of us” dipshit again.

Don’t take the media bait.
LSU will have a new president this week, and soon thereafter a new AD and the search will right itself.
Even with Landry being a dipshit, LSU is a top 5 job.
I wish we could fire his dumb arse, however.

The downsides…toxic fan base. Dysfunctional state. Leads the nation in illiteracy and incarceration. Systemic racism. Backwards mentality

Any coach worried about the governor doesn’t have the balls to coach this football team anyway. We need a coach with balls.

I’ll give you dysfunction at the state level.
The rest of what you’ve posted is either made up in your own head, or irrelevant to what makes LSU a desirable football job.

Obviously things every college football coach takes a hard look at before accepting any job

Gov Cajun Kumquat, has change that perception

I'm going to try to put a positive spin on Landry's nonsense. After he pitched a fit about it, you could argue LSU is less likely to fire a coach and pay another significant buyout. Does that make the job a little more attractive?

Baton Rouge is the best city in America
The culture in Louisiana is amazing
LSU is an elite academic school
The governor is a genius

You can accidentally find elite skill positions in Louisiana.

What none of us will admit is every program has a specific culture and you gotta find someone who fits. So every schools top 3 choices will be different.

This is so true it's almost funny.

Downside. Will occasionally have to field questions about his opinion on the ranting and ravings of Governor Jeff Landry. And he’ll have to say nice things and agree with the governor because the thin skinned Landry may seek retribution if he doesn’t.

I feel as though LSU could make the playoffs just signing nothing but Louisiana kids… if the right coach were here.
Did I recently hear correctly we only have two Louisiana kids in our starting rotation?

Despite our little Landry Governor, we have a top 3 job nationally for the reasons you mention and -
-Opportunity for incredible legacy. (Stadium name, field name, small shoes to fill.)
-championship pedigree
- strong support from boosters
- world class competition

Every fan base worth anything are toxic. Dysfunctional state? See Michigan, Minnesota, Oregon, California, and New York for details. Leads in illiteracy? Not true. But your post has grammar issues. High incarceration? Our police are good. And the alternative is to do nothing? Racism? Just a tired talking-point. Backwards? Your opinion based on prejudice.

This is what drew Brian Kelly to LSU.
