WOW. They actually think they are the executive branch.

A federal judge in Rhode Island blocked the Trump administration from ceasing to pay SNAP benefits during the government shutdown.
The ruling came a day before the administration was set to cut off those food stamp benefits from 42 million Americans.

Do judges have to know about the separation of powers? I guess not.

When employees are there to carry out the judicial order, it will be carried out immediately.

Maybe he doesn't understand the government is shut down...

Oh at some point, I can see a judge rule that Trump unfairly shut down the Gov and must pay welfare from his own pocket

Is there a way to divert all judicial pay to SNAP?

Why doesn't that same Judge order the government to stop taking taxes out of our paychecks while it is shutdown.

That should be former federal judge in Rhode Island?

Do lawyers and judges really not understand the law when they make rulings like this? Or sue for stupid shite?

Do a deep (and I mean a VERY DEEP) search for the qualifications/requirements to become a federal judge.

Reading, or for that matter, any other qualification is not listed. There is not a single pre-requisite for a federal judge ither than to be appointed by the president and to receive senate confirmation.

I think this explains a hell of a lot about the current condition of our federal courts.

How is it on trump or the administration? Who handles the snap payments? With what money?

Maybe the judge can force congress to authorize payment?
