LINK

Twitter link to video. He obviously dances around the question cause he is a coach with the Lions. He wants it though and should be at least interviewed. But you can tell that he would give everything to this university win or lose, it wouldn’t be for lack of passion or effort.

No doubt that he wants it.

He's on the short list after the big catches.

Yeah no kidding. He's making $900k right now. I wouldn't even be scared of failure. Anybody on the planet would be interested in that kind of raise.

Stop using press conferences to vet coaches.

Just let it play out. He will most likely get an interview

The Lions D is much better this year under Kelvin. He isn’t ready for a HC gig like LSU but it won’t be long. Being mentored by Campbell is a good thing.

If you call going from 7th to 11th in scoring defense “better”, then sure.

Not saying he’s doing bad but can we not just make shite up?

Even with all these injuries in 2024:

quote:

Key players with season-ending injuries

Alim McNeill: Defensive tackle, torn ACL
David Montgomery: Running back, MCL injury
Marcus Davenport: Defensive end, torn triceps
Alex Anzalone: Linebacker, broken arm
Carlton Davis: Cornerback, fractured jaw
Aidan Hutchinson: Defensive end, broken leg
Derrick Barnes: Linebacker, MCL/PCL injury
Other notable injuries
Ifeatu Melifonwu: Safety, broken finger
Malcolm Rodriguez: Linebacker, ACL injury
Terrion Arnold: Cornerback, shoulder injury
Jalen Reeves-Maybin: Linebacker, shoulder injury
Kalif Raymond: Wide receiver, foot injury
Mekhi Wingo: Defensive tackle, knee injury

Arizona state has a 35 year old coach. Whose name is being tossed around for LSU.

The problem with waiting for Shepard is that there probably won’t be another opportunity to hire him, if he continues to be successful in the NFL. He won’t leave.

It might be early to hire him, but blame Kelly for sucking and not giving us a year.

Hire him on a two year, 3 mil a year prove it contract. If they like what they see after two then give him the big deal. Huge upside there. He could bring in the recruits and transfers, and bring back the toughness that this team needs and has the D side of the ball covered. Just needs to bring in a good OC.

Hiring one of your own is how we ended up with Woodward. KS has been an NFL DC for 7 months. It would be dumb to give him the LSU HC job right now.

Kelvin Sheppard is not getting an interview and will not be your next coach.

Every day i get more and more behind the idea of Sheppard as HC. The Dan Cambell influence is the kicker for me

Seems to be going well for Georgia, Vandy, and Georgia Tech. All hired coordinators without head coaching experience with deep ties to their program. To say it can’t work is being asinine.

Saying that so definitively is ridiculous. No one Thot Brian Kelly would be the guy in 21 or coach O in 2016. You don’t think a guy whose quickly ridding up the ranks, being mentored by one of the motivator head coaches in the league in Dan Campbell , and has strong LSU ties won’t even get an interview ? Be fricking forreal

Sheppard has been coaching 5 years, only half a year as coordinator and none as HC.

He's not getting the LSU job, he doesnt have nearly the experience.

The only reason K.Sshepard is being mentioned is he played here.Look at his resume it’s not there yet.Only has been coaching 4 years and 1st season as DC.He is just now taking off training wheels on his bike and there are some who want him to enter the Tour De France( LSUcoaching job).Let’s be sensible.
