Would you sponsor an immigrant?

So my sister (no pics) recently got her third divorce and married a Canadian national. She sent me a text not long after that and asked if my wife (no pics) and I would sponsor him so he could get his green card or whatever it is he needed.
I rarely talk to my sister, but that’s a whole other issue. My wife said “hell no” to which I’d already said hell no. I wouldn’t know this guy if he knocked on my door. From there it’s gone to my mom calling me saying “I sure wish you would sponsor him” she’s old and doesn’t get that it’s a big deal, it’s like no dammit!
I figure I’ve been around long enough to know y’all’s response, but for fun.
Would you sponsor an immigrant that you know nothing about? My mom can’t even tell me when and where they met.

I won't say no outright, but I wouldn't cosign some strange Canadian who wants to be my sister's 4th ex husband.

Him potentially being the sister's fourth husband doesn't matter as much either way. That speaks more to her than to him IMO. But without knowing shite about him, absolutely not.

I would consider sponsoring that Japanese Vice Minister, but the wife would veto that idea.
