Everybody’s mad at Jeff Landry but he’s dead right. LSU’s been handing out country club contracts and acting like nobody’s accountable. Ninety five million for no playoff and now a fifty million buyout? That’s a joke.
And he’s right about Scott Woodward too. The man’s been playing monopoly with LSU’s money like it’s his own. Same agent that reps the AD reps the coaches he hires. How’s that not a conflict of interest? You think that setup’s about winning or about who’s cashing the biggest check? Landry just called it out loud when everyone else was too scared to.
He said Woodward ain’t picking the next coach and good. He shouldn’t. When you blow that kind of money for those results, you lose your privilege to keep calling the shots. LSU belongs to the people of Louisiana, not to a few insiders and their agents getting rich off mediocrity.
Landry didn’t cross the line. He drew one. Finally somebody’s putting their foot down and demanding real accountability at LSU. And if that ruffles feathers in Baton Rouge, maybe that’s exactly what we need.

Yea, because Woodward unilaterally signed Kelly to that contract with no additional oversight or approval process.

Meh its the way the game is played.
The funny thing is that hes likely right in that a Sumrall at $8MM per year is as likely to win a title as Kiffin is at $17MM per year.
All things being equal i prefer the splashy hire and love Lane. But it is more prudent to hire Sumrall

Pat McAfee doesn’t have a governor on his show because the governor is doing a great job for LSU… he had him on because it was pure comedy. Pat knew exactly what he was doing…giving a microphone to a total whacko.
LSU had 100% backing of every Coach, sports media, players, and opposing fans.., 3 days later Landry turned LSU into a joke.

It’s ok.. yiu voted for him and you are embarrassed and feel the need to defend him. But you can separate the two. You can defend his politics if that’s what you like while also admitting he completely fricked us on this coaching search with the way he handled himself.

Mc Afee said on his show that he read numerous comments about Landry lookin to be on tv . He stated that his show called and asked if he had time in his busy governor schedule to appear and if not they understood, and Landry's office found time.

I bet most of the people of LA had no idea they were on the hook for $50+ million for a failed football coach.
Every time buyouts come up we're consoled with it's not your money. Getting too close for comfort.
Landry needs to learn some #@%& manners and Woodward shouldn't be allowed in a room alone with a contract.

Exactly all these people complaining are a bunch of snowflakes… They are literally brain dead zombies.. OMG I’m going to cry and raise a fit cause what our governor said who is protected our taxpayer money.. THE DONORS DO NOT HAVE TO FIT THE BILL IF THEY DONT WANT TO!! Bottom line!
