State of the Franchise - Rock bottom with almost no hope thanks to Dumars' stupid trades

Team is 0-4 and now getting blown out.

Worst coach in the league and a clueless owner.

No. 2 "star" looks like absolute dog shite.

Poole looks exactly like everyone outside Pels homers thought. Wildly erratic.

None of this is that surprising but what kills me is the trades.

Indiana is winless. So fricking stupid to trade that pick last year. Just insane.

And of course the worst trade in franchise history with this years Pels pick.

So we have probably the worst, coach, GM and owner in the league and no draft pick this year.

Until they fire Willie, there is zero point following the team. I'll give Borrego a shot, but even then I have almost zero hope thanks to Dumars.

I'll add that LSU is pretty fricked too. You have an absolute clown show governor inserting himself in the process.

An already poor and dysfunctional state is about to get even bleaker sports wise.

the franchise is on the brink of being finished. It doesn’t look good under Gayle’s watch

The trade Dumars made may go down as all time bad

If you’re a borderline playoff team hey I get the gamble kind of….but even fully healthy this roster is weird, I don’t know how he operated under the notion that this outcome wasn’t incredibly likely.

I don’t? How is another rookie going to improve the team this year? Playing two rookies and giving them minutes to develop is only going to generate losses usually. It was always only going to hurt the team short term.

I know. You can’t unfortunately. With our injury history, lack of size in a league that’s getting bigger, lack of perimeter shooting, Willie green as your coach, and competing against an absolutely stacked western conference, it was always meant to fail.

Right. Like adding two rookies, Jordan Poole and Looney are gonna make a bottom five team a playoff team. It’s laughably stupid.

Oh my sweet summer child, we have a LONG way to go to get to Rock Bottom. Best shape ever Zion has played in 3 of the 4 games so far. Wait until he checks out.

Still wouldn’t make sense. When you make a trade like that your team should be in win now mode and you’re trading for a borderline all star or maybe even an all star. Not for an unproven rookie who’s outside of the lottery

Dumars was a very bad GM the last half of his run in Detroit. Hiring him 15+ years later is just beyond negligent.

I'd cut the Pels leadership a lot of slack if they won three titles since 2000

I actually love the fact that despite all the shite of Griffin, the two guys under his tutelage (Langdon and Graham) are now president or VP of basketball operations for two teams who have rebuilt/rebuilding.

We on the other hand, fricking hired a guy who hasnt held that job in 15 years.

This is far from rock bottom. Just wait till Zion misses his yearly 50 games, we hand Atlanta a top 3 pick, and we double down on Zion again next year.

We’ll be a bottom 5 team the next 2-3 years before some rich guy gives Gayle 5 billion for the team and moves the franchise so fast it’ll make your head spin.

If the pelicans pick hits in the top 3 and the pacers in the top 10, I think those trades will end up costing New Orleans an NBA team.

Which would make it the worst set of deals of all time.

And largely predictable. We won 21 games last year and our roster was better last year.
