If this was a top 3-5 job before Landry’s comments, where does it rank now?

Unchanged, still top 5.

This has always been the case. It’s like none of you have any idea how LSU operates at all.

It was the top open spot. It’s 3rd now at best.

It ranks it as Nick Saban’s to lose now. He’s the only one with a meatstick big enough to walk in and drop it on the table and tell the governor, the bos, and president trump to all stfu.

Top 8 at the very least but probably top 5. It’s the best job open right now and I don’t think it’s particularly close.
People will forget about our retarded governor by the next news cycle which could be any minute now.

Dang you people bleed 24/7.

LSU is a Top 3 job in CFB by most national pundits & nobody can talk it out of a Top 5 gig.

It didn’t change when JBE was spreading hysteria about the LSU football program and it didn’t change because Jeff Landry answered a question that had nothing to do with the presser.

Probably top 15-20, Baton Rouge being a complete shite hole riddled with crime and the governor and BOS running the football team really hurts LSU.

None of these irrelevant talking points are going to mean shite if the new coach comes in and wins

All of this crap now is just noise. We have nothing else to talk about for the coaching search situation so we are going to just run this situation into the ground…

I just don’t think it’s as big of a deal as yall are making it out to be

It’s top 5 if you’re a guy like Jon Sumrall and you want the reigns to a P4 program.

It’s top 60 for Kiffin who has enough dignity and self respect to not come coach for a governor who can fire you in the middle of the game via tweet.

Time to face the music: things suck right now in Louisiana. Until you get a different governor, good luck.

My question is in what galaxy is LSU a top 3 job in CFB? Let's just look at the program history from 1965-present excluding Saban(Miles won a championship with Saban's recruits, all 11 starters on D were coached/recruited by him as were the 3 key offensive players Flynn/Hester/Doucet.

So ignoring 2000-2007, which are attributable to Saban, LSU has 8 AP top 10 finishes, 4 conference titles and 1 national championship (which is almost universally seen as lightning in a bottle/a flash in the pan given the head coach) in 52 years. Taking everything else into consideration, particularly where the university is located, just how fricking delusional are LSU fans to think it's even remotely close to a top 3 job?

Aside from Saban, no coach has had longterm success at LSU going back to the 1930's

You didn't answer my question, aside from Saban & 2019, LSU has done jackshit as a program in the last 90 years

It ranks exactly the same as it did before. Y’all are severely overreacting to this.

11 or 12 nationally all time wins.

Big 6 SEC member.

2003 SEC & BCS champ.
2007 SEC & BCS champ.
2011 SEC champ
2019 SEC & playoff champ

Couple recent heismans, a few records, more draft picks than all but 1 or 2 programs.

Really the only time LSU was an average or below average program was the 90's.
