He has made great hires! Even with Brian Kelly though he didn’t work out he had won everywhere so chill out everyone if a BLUE BLOOD HIRES A COACH ITS GONNA HAVE A BUYOUT AND ITS GOING TO BE BIG!!

He made a bad hire, but loves LSU. He wouldn’t have left AggieLand for LSU if he didn’t love LSU. That being said, not sure I want him hiring the next football coach with a 10-12 year deal.

Woody Screwed up Technically!! His first hire was Fisher who rebuilt the FSU program and won a title with a crabby qb. His next hire was the winningest active coach in fbs. Anyone could have thought those hires would work out considering Kelly in particular actually had a great track record of hiring really good assistants. It wasn’t till he got here that he started screwing that up.

Alabama had to give Jalen DeBoer an 8 year contract to leave Washington. Miami had to give Mario Cristobal a 10 contract to leave Oregon. Matt Rhule has an 8 year contract in Nebraska. Florida had to give Napier an 7 year contract. And that’s just a few. So there’s nothing Woodward did that’s not normal. So if y’all think lsu will hire its next coach on a 4 or 5 year contract, be prepared for it to be from a coordinator position or a coach from mid major.

Woodward is LSU every day all day and deserves to be here. Kelly was the best available at the time and he got him with the approval of the boosters. The end.

He is an LSU guy and it’s such a crap shoot with no guarantees now a days it’s hard to blame the guy. Still don’t think I want him picking the next guy. I don’t want him fired necessarily but not totally in control of hire

Woodward is a lib Baton Rouge society guy. That said I think he should remain as AD but can’t be sole decision maker

If possible, this is the moment to redefine what a school should pay for a head coach. Less guarantees and more incentives.

He doesn’t need to be involved in this hire. Kelly got a ridiculous contract. That’s on Scott. If he wants to quit so what. He isn’t bigger than LSU. He basically sent Moffitt packing saying the same thing to Tommy.

I agree. He is a victim of booster politics. “Buy me the best coach” doesn’t mean much when the best coach available is a douchebag clown
