This is the incident where the cop shot the woman after he told her to take a pot of boiling water off the stove. It was discussed for several pages here last year. I can’t find the thread.
quote:

A former Illinois sheriff's deputy has been found guilty of second-degree murder in the death last year of a householder who had reported a suspected intruder.
Mother-of-two Sonya Massey, 36, was fatally shot on 6 July 2024 at her home near Springfield, Illinois, after calling 911 about a possible prowler.

quote:

in the video, Grayson sees a pot sitting on a lit stove, gestures towards it and says: "We don't need a fire while we're here."

Massey, who had received treatment for mental health issues, walks to the stove to remove the pot. She and Grayson appear to laugh over her pot of "steaming hot water", before she twice says: "I rebuke you in the name of Jesus." "You better [expletive] not or I swear to God I'll [expletive] shoot you in your [expletive] face," Grayson says.

He then draws his pistol as he shouts for her to drop the pot. "OK, I'm sorry," Massey is heard saying before she ducks. He fired three shots, striking her in the face.

He got kicked out of the army, had DWIs, was on his 4th or 5th stop as an officer. It’s absolutely insane he was still hired somewhere. Oh, and he was guilty as shite. This was by far the worst police incident ive ever seen. Way worse than Floyd.

Yeah, he deserves to spend a long time in prison.

If I remember right, didn’t the woman actually try to sort of throw the boiling water at him? I remember you could see the water on the floor in the video.

I also remember this dude escalating this super fast and handling this is pretty much the worst way possible for everyone involved. So I’m good with him being charged for killing her.

This one is bad but Daniel Shaver is still the worst for me (shot playing a deadly game of Simon Sez in a hotel hallway in Mesa). The cop was acquitted on murder two and while fired they retroactively medically retired him (at 25) with a pension.

All of that is true but it isn’t surprising at all. Cops are generally trash humans

Good. That guy had no business being a police officer with his previous history.

You think you could hold onto a pot after getting shot in the face?

That was horrific and terribly sad. The palpable anxiety and cries from the victim as he tried to obey the confusing commands while crawling on the floor were chilling.

It was before she was shot. Unless I am misremembering.

I think you're confusing what happened with the gaslighting the bootlickers kept pushing

I happened to be in the town where this trial was yesterday. Tons of media, cops, and protesters waiting to riot if he was found innocent in the streets
