Lol. Saban is all about control, and from that aspect, yes, Ole Miss is a better job for Kiffin than LSU.

LSU appears to be an organizational mess right now .

Sounded like general Saban statement that he would say in public but not in private

Saban doesn't want Kiffin to go to LSU and win more titles than he did at LSU. No coach has ever won more than one title for LSU and he knows Kiffin would do that. Saban's an a-hole.

That’s cause Saban is planning his strategy to come back to LSU

"because he has some guys over there at Ole Miss that give him pretty much whatever he wants from a roster standpoint"

A little out of context there baw. He's not saying, in general that it is a better job. He's saying that Lane's current situation at Ole Miss is probably a better fit for him than at LSU or Florida. But I think it is fair to say that the Ole Miss HC job in 2025 is not the same status as the job in 2005.

Said better job for Lane, not a better job.

That is not what he said. Full quote:

“Jobs that weren’t great jobs before are now. Lane is the first name up for Florida and the first name up for LSU, but I think you can have a long debate on whether either one of those jobs is actually better than the job he has now because he has some guys over there at Ole Miss that give him pretty much whatever he wants from a roster standpoint...

Maybe you’ve got alumni who are passionate about football, but are they willing to invest what you have to invest now to win? Because a lot of people don’t believe in this shite.”

Saban said it was debatable. Your title is misleading.

He is just saying what his buddy Jimmy Sexton told him to

Probably the worst take he’s given yet. LSU is a dream job if you can keep your shite together. It’s not for the faint of heart, but fricking Ed Orgeron won a title here and made millions. Come on Nick, get real.

LSU is a mess with way too many cooks in the kitchen, and we just fired a coach that on paper has only lost to top 10 teams with only four games left in the season

He’s trying cut the line in front of Kiffin. Obviously.

So, turns out that's not what he said at all.
