The whole narrative that LSU will not be able to hire Kiffin

because they cant wait that long needs to die. If Kiffin is your guy and he wants to come, you wait. The LSU brass knows this.

Does LSU have the patience for Kiffin (or another playoff coach) to go like 4-8 in season one due to a complete lack of ability to recruit going into season 1?
Honest question, if LSU does good for them. But your likely signing up for a bad year 1 because the new hire won't be able to bring in any talent given the timing for the portal / signing day now.

Kiffin already has his main pieces in place at LSU….NOW

You absolutely wait for your guy and do the best u can. Only thing that scares me about Kiffin is he likes to play games and would be afraid that he could show interest just to troll us and then say no at last minute just for kicks. I would have a very solid plan B locked in that will be there just in case that happened

That's not really how recruiting works, you usually dont feel a hs recruiting class until 2-3 seasons after. Frank can hold the class together good enough and if they somehow to bring in kiffen they will be able to shore up whatever they need in the portal. I would be surprised if they could lure him out of oxford but if they do we will be fine, actually more than fine.

I think maybe if he was locked up behind closed doors, he could communicate names to Austin Thomas for portal targets.
I personally dont see Ole Miss being in the title chase past Christmas.

But it’s hard to get to a yes in that situation.
And that’s how you get really fricked. You wait and THEN miss out on your first choice…and the rest have already taken other jobs.

Ole Miss is probably going to the playoff but loses first round. So what timeframe is that?
