We are never prying Lanning away from Oregon. May not be able to get Kiffin either if he gets Ole Miss to pony up.

Lanning has a 20 million buyout for school contract and a whole seperate other buyout of maybe upwards of 20-40 with phil knight.

Maybe not, but with younger coaches that are successful, they are looking for one of two things:
1) Do I want to coach in the NFL
or
2) Can I create a legacy here at this spot
There are rumors that Lanning is already starting to inquire about what Oregon's situation would look like after Uncle Phil. This means he is trying to get an idea on #2. One thing I know is that if you are the head coach at LSU and you are successful, you can be here for a decade or two and cement a legacy.
