What’s the “dirty laundry” regarding Kelly? An alleged affair only or is there more?

Everyone’s talking about the morality clause in his contract and discussing airing out his dirty laundry but didn’t we all know about his affair years ago, shortly after coming here? Am I missing something else too? Did it happen again recently? It feels like I’m lost on this.

If it’s the same one from the beginning, pretty shitty of LSU to use that now, years later, against him. I get that it’s business and it’s going to help lower the buyout, but I still feel like we’re dirty for it. Thrilled he’s gone, but it’s either a problem when it happens or it’s not.

Uh, frick that. His coaching job was dirty and made a giant mess. Drag his arse through the mud if it makes it cheaper.

There has to be more to it. I believe that LSU made the decision to move on from Brian Kelly well before the A&M game. There’s something else there. Something that created a trust issue the led to the belief that he had to go. Could be the drinking, lack of engagement or something else.

Yeah that's really going to make the next coach want to come here

This just us doing our standard besmirching of the departing coach… did it when Nick, Les, and O left… we are a petty and vile fanbase we all know this… combine it with Louisiana politics and money… getting blown out in Tiger Stadium at night by A&M… after that every rumor about BK becomes fact…

Stop with all this affair stuff none of your business. Maybe his wife had an affair who the hell knows or does not know. Not anyone else’s business.

BK was fired because A&M scored 35 straight points in the second half… why can’t we just admit this??

This is how you don't get a good coach during this next hiring cycle and probably many more future ones as well. Every coach in the nation will look at LSU and any other opportunities and knock this one down quite a bit if LSU starts doing petty shite like this.

Imagine trying to go hire a guy like Kiffin after doing something like this to Kelly.

I been thinking the same thing. LSU doesn’t move on this fast. Look at history, they wait until the situation is reeking of a change end of season. Miles was reeking by the end of 2015 and they still let him start 2016. Orgeron was reeking at the end of 2021.

The game ended late Saturday night. He was gone less than 24 hours later. Decisions like this don’t get made that way. The decision to part ways with BK was not based on the second half of the A&M game.

This type of gossip, even if true, is uncalled for. The man is no longer the head coach of LSU; leave him alone. As far as Woodward using this type of info as a means to lower the buyout, if I was Kelly's attorney I would consider this to be a form of blackmail and would report it to authorities. We do not need to continue to air dirty laundry, because some prospective coaches could take a very negative view of this.
